What kind of mileage are you guys getting from your 5th Gens?

18.9 over 17500 miles mixed driving. Stock size KO2s in C load, RCI Al skids from nose through trans & transfer case including steel lower control arm and rear diff skids, RSG sliders and about 50 lbs of safety/recovery gear permanently residing in the back.

I think it's more likely people with lower MPG are geared up or have larger tires seeing significantly lower mpg. my lowest MPG ever was on my last trip driving all highway miles 80-85mph across UT.

My current average is 23. 95% interstate going 67. I can get 24 if I go 65.

Nope. You can't just say tires when people are posting higher than normal MPG and stating they are using tires on the heavier side while their post location is in like New Mexico, Nevada, or PA.

I mean obviously city driving yields lower mpg. Tire weight plays some role but tire SIZE seems to play a big role as well. Initially I lost 1.5mpg just going to 285/70 e loads. The weight does make some difference but not as much of a difference as size.

NM is not busy at all or what i would consider "city" driving. i drove through there a few months ago.

I personally get better mpg in the city than highway driving at any speeds >65

Worst Mileage was 9.2 towing a 17ft Travel trailer(Dallas to West Texas)

Best was 21.9 lots of traffic and drove 65-70 for 300 miles(San Antonio to Dallas)

Average is 18.4 over 11,000 miles, 70 mile commute highway thru rush hour traffic.

17-20 is realistic for stock, and mostly highway driving(75-80 mph). I was able to get 400+ miles every single tank.

My on road average is just over 16mpg. Falls down to about 9 in the sand dunes...

I get 17-20 daily driving in my still completely stock 21 ORP.

The sweet spot seems to be about 50-65 mph. I drive a lot of two lane "highways" for work and have gotten up to 26-27 mpg on some trips with no traffic, stoplights, etc. driving in that mph range.

I get 16.8 on the highway at 60-65 mph.

13.5 daily driving around town.

2.8 on a moderately difficult trail.

Factors: traction boards and zarges boxes on the roof. Steel bumpers front and back. 285 KM3. Skidplates and sliders. 6000+ driving weight.

I've had my '2 off-road now for 4000 miles and have gotten 21 mpg on average. Nothing worse than 20, nothing better than 22 mpg.

In Canada that's about 10.7L/100 kms to about 11.7. It is lifted 1 inch in the front and still running the factory tires.

More stop and go in bigger cities.

That said I’ve been averaging around 17.5. I get around 19.5 on the freeway and about 15.5 in the city. I have a 2” lift with a 140 lb steel bumper and I’m running BFG KO2s. I get the best mileage at 80 mph. Seriously!

Air resistance is a factor of velocity squared. No possible way that driving 80 returns better mpg than if you were to go 60 on that same stretch of road.

16.6 and hasn't moved far from there in over a year. Lot's of short trips around town, some towing, with occasional highway. I drive like a grandma too. The last long reasonably hilly highway ride of about 350 miles I got about 18.5mpg going 80mph most of the way. 2" lift and stock size KO2s

I run BFG All Terrain T/A KO2’s in stock size, but load range E, so they’re a heavy tire as well.

I just got back from a 2-day, 1000 mile drive on my new KM3's. I was very happy. I averaged 21 MPG for the majority of the trip, and I was heavy on the throttle in parts. Not too shabby.
