What kind of rattles do you have?

Rattles drive me insane. Seems like every time i fix one, another one magically pops up.

First it was my jack lift door panel (easy fix), then the HVAC fan housing, then the moonroof cover, then now the newest one the diverside visor. Sometimes my trunk pull out cover rattles too.

How did you fix the jack panel. Mine makes a chirping sound when I go over bumps and it drives me nuts.
I also get a subtle rattle from the dome light that is annoying

The most annoying rattle/vibration that I have is the housing around the map lights/sun glass holder. On the right (or wrong) road surface, that thing will buzz pretty badly. I'm going to pull it down and add a few strips of foam weatherstripping to see if that stops it.

self adhesive weather seal. just seal it around the back of the panel. it will provide enough pressure to keep it from vibrating.

I have one on my passenger side under the glovebox that drives me nuts. At a certain RPM, either just idling or going down the highway or street, it just vibrates. I think it's the plastic cover underneath, but I have got to figure it out, it drives me batty!!

What exactly is the jack panel cause i literally blare my music cause i cant stand the noise from it, it drives me insane

the dash board! this sucks. its really loud when the temerature is warm/hot. ive tried stuffing foam in between the windshield and dash but it only made it worse. ive taken everything out. luckily its more peaceful now that its winter lol

Mine is the back hatch/window. Only rattles on a washboard dirt road though...

Huh, the only rattles I have are from the combat knife I keep in the driver's door pocket, the aluminum tubing scraps and some bits in the back footwells and the occasional jouncing of the spare tire tools...

And by the way, Dawg I'd be more than happy to solve your rattle problem for you, just throw a burger or steak in to!

Fix???

Remove glove box

remove bottom tray (the one covering the fan motor)

Remove the fan motor

The fan housing is made of 3 molded parts i think. try to undo all the bottom mold screws and try to separate it from the second mold as much as you can(the one below the cabin filter tray).

line the groove between the bottom tray you unscrewed and the one above it with electrical tape.

push it back together and make sure its snug

screw everything back on

fixed
