What offset and why

Im looking at some level 8 mk6s, and they come in the 0mm and -10mm offset. The 0 offset giving about an inch of protrusion from the stock location. Is there any reason to go with either? Im currently running FJ wheels, this is a stick height pic but i now have the toyotec boss kit and SPC UCA's

There's literally a TON of threads on here about back spacing (BS) and Offset etc.....

I have the Level 8 MK-6 wheels also in 17". If you plan on clearing the bigger calipers for the TBU then you need the -10 offset or a wheel spacer. I didn't want to run with wheel spacers. If you're worried about clearing your UCA's the level 8's have plenty of BS with 5.5". Without going into too much detail, I hope this helps.

EDIT: I also have the SPC UCA's and no problem. Also, with the sport edition I didn't want my tires to extend much past my flares. Check out my build and you'll see the wheels in there somewhere. If you want a side photo to see how far they protrude, let me know I have one.

no thats perfect, now i just have to decide black or gun metal

Hard to see the color on my laptop, but is that an IJM Limited with the Gold Letter package?

A few things to consider is whether or not you're going to go black on badges or not and leave them gold. It also looks like you have chrome bumpers instead of color matched.

IJM with gold is one of the few combinations where the bronze wheels look good. It's a good contrast. I'm trying to keep as symmetric as possible with a limited color pallet. IJM, gold/Bronze, some red here and there and black.

Good luck on your decision. Ultimately it's your decision but you can always ask on here. These guys often times have a lot of good insight. It will buy you time before you spend the money.

Edit: So I just looked at your photo again and noticed the grey Limited flares and molding. Hmmm. Much bigger color pallet to base your decision. I don't think the bronze would work.
