What setting is everyone using with a 6112 setup?

Matters how much lift did you get on the 5/5 setting in the front? Mind posting your fender to hub measurements?

I didn't take measurements before and my installer didn't get around to it either unfortunately. Here are my rough measurements after the install. No weight in the car and a 3/4 tank of gas. Bottom of fender to center of wheel hub. It's possible the setup may still settle a bit.

DF - 21 3/4" PF - 21 1/2"
DR - 24" PR - 23 1/2"

Measuring my stock 2016 KDSS Trail your measuring 2.25" more in the front and around 2" in the rear. For those who are wondering on the 5/5 setting. Ide image you'll have another .25" of settling for around 2" lift in the front.

Thank you very much for the reference numbers.

With 6112 (#6 on passenger, #5 on driver) and 5160 w/T13 springs, I obtained 2.5" on front and 1" on rear...3/4 tank of gas.

Driver side lean of about of about 1/8" in front and 1/2" on rear. I think I can live with that :-) Had that same rear lean before the install.

So I started replying to this on another thread, but figured I'll reply here as well. Since a lot of people are running this setup and this question comes up a lot, it will be good to have as many eyes on this as possible.

Bilstein is using my 4Runner for some development and outfitting it with the 6112/5160 combo. Mine has KDSS, and I've been told they're updating their install instructions for KDSS 4Runners.

During the process, they've found that the front left spring on KDSS 4Runners is slightly shorter than non-KDSS. From what I understand, the springs are NOT the same. For KDSS 4Runners, no offset should be needed...confirming what a lot of people have already said, left/right settings should be the at same level. On my 4Runner, they set the rings at the tallest setting on both sides. As a result of no offset, KDSS 4Runners has a net total up to 2.9" of lift vs the 2.5" of lift on non-KDSS 4Runner.

The springs they've installed on the 5160's are prototype Eibachs. They match up perfectly with the 6112 setup up front. There are 3 different configurations of the spring: 1" lift, 1.5" lift, and 1.5" heavy. The "heavy" springs are designed for rigs that are loaded down with heavy mods/armor. Bilstein is looking to release them soon, but date is TBD.

I'm planning to get some aftermarket UCAs, but they didn't have any issues with stock UCAs.

I'll try to answer questions as best I can. Please bear with me if I don't know the answer, as the 6112/5160 setup (and 5th gen 4Runners) are new to me. I am not affiliated with, nor endorsed by Bilstein, so none of this is official until they published it. I'm just trying to give a heads up to those with KDSS and 6112s.

If anyone is wondering about my join date and post count, needless to say, I'm a long time lurker. I had a 2000 4Runner, but posted mostly on Yotatech. I'll be posting and getting more involved here at T4R.

This is great news! I have been wanting to get this setup and do a 1" lift rear with the front set at 1.5 or 1.85 and didn't like the idea of not having perfectly matched springs front and rear. I think this information has finally helped me decide on the lift I want to go with. Hopefully the specific Eibach spring for the rear won't cause issues with 516's failing.

We're in San Diego did you get your lift installed? Awesome truck

Thanks, bro! I got selected for a project for Bilstein, so theyre the ones who installed it. I don't think they do installations for the public, just for their own projects/research.

Did they let on when these prototype coils were going to be released?

Looks great Matters! You've really helped with my decision. Any comment on the rear Dobinson springs. I noticed they have a little higher spring rate than some of the other options. They ride pretty stiff?

I'd wondered the same thing originally but am happy to say I don't notice any extra stiffness from the rear suspension. The front and rear seem to be very balanced. Everything feels extremely controlled and is less bumpy yet firmer and more comfortable than the stock suspension. My current setup easily outperforms the stock suspension in every way.

Had mine's set at one notch lower than the highest on the drivers side two notches lower on the passenger side, but I found that the passenger had a slight lean. Moved both settings to the highest notches and now there's no lean.

Are they testing anything on the 2wd 5th gens? User manual states c clip 3/1 max to achieve 2.55in max lift but mine is set at 4/2 and only yielded ~2.25in.:hunter:

I didn't have a lean in the front, so I set everything to the 6 clip on the 6112s.
Rears are 5100s + C59-599 rear springs.

Everything is still settling, but getting 2.5" in the front and about 1.5" in the rear.
