What setting is everyone using with a 6112 setup?

Just curious, anyone running a top plate spacer with these? I did more researching last night and saw on a Tundra forum that they recommended to a member that they would rather use a top plate spacer than use offset preloading to compensate for lean.
I'm currently using #5 on driver and #3 on passenger.

I'm really just playing around with the idea but I'm thinking 1\4" or maybe 1\2" top plate spacer on the driver side and I can bring the preload all the way down on the drivers side or stay dead even with the passenger side at least. Wanting to use the first clip and maintain my current height of ~3" with the 700# spring rate.

My entire setup 6112/5100 and eibach 1' rear springs is running $862. I don't think there is any 2.5" coilover setup that you can find for that cheap. The closest would probably be the Fox 2.0 Aluminum series at about a grand, but you'd still need rear springs as well and they are still only 2" diameter shocks.

Do you know what the spring rate is for the 1" lift Eibach rear springs? I haven't found that information anywhere yet. I sent them an email a few days ago and asked that question but I haven't received a reply.

I talked to Eibach and they said 202lbs

Speaking of 6112’s, has anyone affected by the back order received theirs yet? Every time I get an email from Wheelers I get excited, only to hear “Bilstein says a few more weeks”.

I got sick of the wait and cancelled. My 5100's and Dobinson springs I ordered Friday/Monday are being delivered tomorrow and Friday. Kinda looking forward to having teal springs actually.

buying a set of used 6112's and rear 5160's with the wheelers 1.5 springs. gonna go with same setting on both, probably set at 6. Hope to get them uninstalled next week and then shipped to me. Cant wait!

Managed to get these installed. Ride is FANTASTIC. Both sides set to the sixth setting (i have KDSS). Unbolted the spindle from the upper, tie rod end, and sway bar; OEM setup popped right out, 6112's went in with some prying on the LCA. Using t13's in the rear matches up perfect, just a little bit of nose down for when i pull the trailer/go camping.

I did the front one day and the rear the next day. Both times i opened the KDSS valves three turns. I have no noticeable lean.

how did this work out for you? i see in your sig you did just that.

I've played around with it some. I still have some lean but it's fine. The decrease in preload feels much better for me too.

Here's some data I've taken from mine. With the 700lb springs, no 1/2" spacer, I got 21" hub to fender on the driver side. With the spacer, 21.75" hub to fender on the driver side.

I'm not sure if it's to blame but when I was at #5 clips, both my tie rod ends started leaking some grease from their boots a few months later. This gave me over 3" of lift and I started noticing smaller bumps could be felt and the ride was getting harsh for my taste.

As of today, I'm at clip #2 on both sides and I've removed the sway bar at the moment. 21.75" hub to fender driver, and 22.5" hub to fender passenger. I guess my springs settled some since it's the same height as clip #1. Or driver side is just that much heavier. So I still have about half an inch of lean on the driver side. Not terrible to me and can't see it.
It's definitely softer and nose dive is there with mild braking. But rides great and less harsh.

6112 - Latest version

Installed 6112/5160 combo on a 2016 Trail (non-KDSS) a few months ago. Used #3/#1 circlip locations for driver side / passenger side, respectively. This is for the latest version of the 6112. This is the minimum amount of lift. Truck looks almost leveled at rest, with passengers it looks completely leveled. Ride quality is a huge upgrade. Found 6112/5160 for $1000 plus $80 for the fancy Bilstein reservoir mounts. Installation for everything was $350, including alignment at Desert Rat. All in for under $1,500.

2" Lift Front + Leveling?

I've been reading all the posts on this thread and really didn't see anyone trying to do a 2" lift in front.

I'm about to lift and level out my 2016 Trail (non-KDSS) - wondering if anyone has run a similar setup given the following:

====================================
Front: Bilstein 6112's (Model # 47-259768)
====================================
As per the Bilstein Install Instructions (version 08.17.17), to get a 2" Lift, I'm setting:
* Driver Side Circlip at Position #6 and
* Passenger Side Circlip at Position #4

====================================
Rear: Bilstein 5160's (Model # 25-227611) + Dobinson C59-599 Coil
====================================
* As per the Dobinson website, the C59-599 will give a 1.25" lift in the rear on the 4Runner
"keeps rear end low, allowing to help level the vehicle rake with 2" front lift"

====================================
Current stock Lean
====================================
Currently, the driver side is exactly .25" lower than the passenger side -- both front and rear

My main objective is to get a 2" lift (didn't want to go more than that), while leveling it out. Slight forward rake is ok, just didn't want any reverse rake.

Thanks.

Interested in getting some 6112s but cant get a good height for a stock trail with kdss.
I am currently running swayaway real coils and toytec coilovers with 5100. I am at 23.5 inches center of hub to bottom of fender. Will I be able to get this from these shocks and on what settings. Seems like I am high compared to others

Did you install the 6112's yet?
If so what settings did you use and where did that leave you with lean?
I too am interested in a LEVEL 2" front lift on a NON-KDSS 2019 4runner.

It seems like any lean is better addressed with a 1/4" or 3/8" top spacer if needed, rather than increased pre-load.

Thanks for any information!

Hey -- sorry for the late reply. For some reason, I stopped getting emails when I get quoted, or threads I'm subscribed to.

I actually ended up going with a different setup -- went with Icon stage 2. I cranked down the preload in front, and adjusted the passenger side to correct the lean -- taken with a 1/2 tank of gas, I was able to take out the lean. On full/empty, I'm a 1/4" off -- so I may still get a rear 1/4" spacer.

Are you going with the 6112/5160 setup?

I will be running the 6112/5160 combo( in route as we speak) will be running wheelers t13 rear spring as well on 19' sr5.. hoping for thad 2.5in in the front also curious on what setting to run. Thinking starting around that 6th clip but not sure what to do with the lean.

No worries.

Glad to hear you got the lean taken care of.

Yes, i'm planning on installing 6112/5160's but I'm waiting for some warmer weather. They work great on my Tacoma so I am sticking with them.

I'm going with the new Bilstein 1" coils for the back.

Mr Wolfgang

Curious what settings you'll be using on the 6112's since you're going with the 1" Bilstein coil in the back for the 5160s.

You have my exact setup in mind. 6112s up front and 5160s in the rear with either a 1" coil or a 1.5" coil. I was thinking either the 1.6", 1.2" or .8 circlip settings.

This is actually my wife's daily driver so, not looking to go too high. We have a 2011 Limited and the XREAS shocks are all shot at ~120K miles and the dealer is nuts asking for about $3,500 for parts and labor (even though that seems to be the going rate from reading tons of posts about this topic). We just so happen to need new tires too. So, swapping out to some TRD Pro Gray wheels using 265/70/17 Nitto Terra Grappler G2s. Doing everything at the same time and I'll still come out saving money.

Just want to get it close to leveled out and only about 1" to 1.5" total of lift increase from stock. So I can meet my wife somewhere in the "middle" of having it lifted but not too high where I have to listen to her complain about getting up in it wearing work clothes!

Have you already done it and if so, any pictures?

Thanks in advance!
