What suspension kits so you suggest for a 3" lift?

What tires and size are you planning on running?

right now I'm running stock size BFG A/Ts... but I plan on getting bigger tires in the near future as well... I need to figure out how big I can go with a 3" lift and wheel spacers.

Do you have 17's or 18's? :shrug: It looks like 17's in your avatar. With some trimming you can fit 285/70/17's.

Alex56 has the superflex coils and 1" spacer for the rear and he has Toytec coilovers for the front.

ah, thanks for clarifying. So what it really comes down to here is adjust-ability: Toytec ult, vs less money: OME 885's+spacer/Superflex coils/Bilstein 5100's.

If you plan on running a front bumper and/or winch you will want to run the 885's, possibly 886's but if you dont, the 884's will be much better for your V6.

Are you asking about the OME or Bilstein shocks? Both brands will work with either coils.

Yes because its a complete kit, For one, Bilstein makes some of the best shocks in the world. 2. With toytec you get the free adjustability to your secifications unlike with the OME your going to get what you get and will have to add spacers to adjust ride height. As to the "ultimate kit" In my case I upgraded to the Bilstein 5125 rear shock because they are longer because my back is lifted 3"(soon to be 3.5). I chose the superflex because the 895's are pretty stiff and make for a bumpy ride with no rear weight. Yet my 2-12's,Amp,Box, and high lift come in around 125lbs, The superflex with 1" spacer's are smooth and get the job done fir ride/clearance for me with 35's

I am still saving for my lift but I found if you don't need the adjusting ability of the coil overs you can get the bilstein 5100 from shock warehouse for $50.00 less than toytec then get toytec/eibach front coil springs and the toytec rear springs whick comes out less than the 3" fj lift spring set plus you can get the discount with the listed code at toytec and shock warehouse has free shipping

this is what I got so far and it should be less than 700 for all

Hello everyone!

I've decided that I want to purchase a suspension kit for my 4runner, and I'm looking for about a 3" lift.

So my options seem to be an Old Man Emu suspension kit, toytec ultimate kit, etc.

From personal experience, what would you all recommend. I would not like to spend more than $1200.

This might be slightly over your $1200 budget if you can save up a little more ($1390) and go with Radflo's from Overland Warehouse. They were developed and tuned specifically for the 4runner by 4runner enthusiasts. In addition, both front and rear shocks are fully rebuildable. Excellent product and these guys stand behind what they sell.

If your Anal on how your runnner is going to sit, get the coilovers. I lost alot of money on spacer lifts and adding spacers to try to correct my drivers side lean, when i should have just done it right in the first place
