was doing major maintenance on all three vehicles I own...
Got kind of cheap with the 4runner since I change all my fluids yearly regardless of mileage. (4runner is my weekend play toy so not too many miles a year)
picked up 2 gallons of coastal 80w90 from autozone. I believe the manual calls for 80w90 in the rear diff only and 75w90 in everything else...but I bought the two gallons of 80w90 and ran it in both diffs, TC, & manual trans. No problems/weird symptoms as of yet.

^FWIW GL4 in trans and case, GL5 in diffs. Some run GL5 in their's for supposedly less rolling resistance on the gears but it jacks with the syncros.

Installed a Trail Gear rear tube bumper today... Being an idiot I had accidentally purchased one for an 89-95 PICKUP without noticing. However, all ended up working out, took much longer due to that though... Pictures when i can get to it.

I got a deal on a t4r e-locker a while back, I finally had the chance to install it.
I've seen many e-locker swaps online but I kind of wanted it to be as factory looking as possible, so...
Cool! How much did the whole setup end up costing ya?

I'll give this thread a bump
After some complaints from the wife about the truck not having cup holders and, since the previous owner deleted the center vents to install the stereo in their place, I decided to install a cup holder under the stereo. This is what I came up with.

I've done the timing belt, (didn't have a choice), did the clutch bracket and clutch save cylinder. Oil change and installed a stereo so I could have sound. Next, Idler arm and Pitman arm. Already ordered the brass bushings, should be here monday. Also installed a used rear window motor. Still need to get the outer key to work the window, but thats coming up on the list.

Well today I installed a new shifter seat and bushing along with a low range offroad shifter knob. After getting the shifter apart I found that there was no bushing and might as well have been no seat. Explains why it would barely stay in first when taking off.
Here's what I can imagine use to be the seat. It was down in the shifter hole.

I had been daily driving my Toyjunk for over a year without bumpers, I finally got pulled over a few days ago, the cop measured from the floor to the bottom of the tailgate, he said I was over the limit. Luckily I just got away with a warning.
So, I welded the rear bumper, installed the front one and cut the winch base the previous owner welded to the frame. I also made a bikini top while I was at it. Gotta love the looks of people who don't know about 1st gen 4runners, specially Jeep owners.

Spent yesterday, and today installing some lighting, and running wires. Before all that it was modifying my BudBuilt skid plate to match the new lift.
Just after the lift - looks nekkid!
Skid plate mod'd, and installed. Having did my share of R&R (Rust Removal for all you land lubbers) while in the Coast Guard I could not stand to see the skid in this shape.
So with the help of some rust remover ...
Here's the results.
So like I was saying. LIGHTS!
Hmmm - what's in the white boxes?
7" HIDS!
Stock headlights / High beams on...
And with the HIDS...
and lastly - LEDS (no they are not from the group buy)...

Looking good, RiffRaff! Love the skid plate and the HID's. I must admit, for my tastes, the LED strip kinda clutters the front end a bit--and isn't that going to block your over-the-hood trail view somewhat? Anyway, your rig is looking awesome! Any hope of getting that build thread so I can add it to your 4ROTM nomination?
