What's the Best Oil Filter?

I've been using the K&N PS-7023 but was considering using something better. After reading some comments here and other posts I read that the regular style filters don't seal that well, which got me interested in getting one of the below filters:

1) Toyota TRD PTR43-00079
2) Royal Purple 20-968
3) AMSOIL EA15K49

The RoyalPurple, ToyotaTRD & Amsoil synthetic filters you name are actually all the EXACT SAME FILTER (other than cosmetic branding). They are all made by Champion Laboratories, a volume producer of oil filters … and it does so under no less than 30 different private labels & house brands. One reveal is that they are all stamped "EE2 Product of USA Producto De EUA."

The comments and photos I saw indicated the quality of construction is quite high. Unlike other available filters, they have metal end caps with silicone sealing, metal cores and the filter material is mesh-backed. Again, these are synthetic, and so have better filterning specifications than OEM/cellulose filters. The RoyalPurple flavor is the least-expensive of the three. The least-expensive sourcing is Walmart-sold&shipped for about $18 plus a $6 shipping charge, before tax.

The Mobil1 filter, btw, is ALSO manufactured by Champion.

There's nothing wrong with the standard Toyota OEM filter and a name brand synthetic or semi-synthetic oil changed every 6 months or 5000 miles, whichever first. You're talking $35 per change if you do it yourself and if you can't do that yourself, get a Tesla.
