Whats up with the double click to go back??

Anyone else having this problem on the forum? Whenever I go into a thread I have to click back twice to get back to the forum page. Not a big deal but just a lil annoyance. I will stop b*tching now

Doesn't happen from my work computer but does from home. It is going to an intermediate site "http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/ads?client=ca-pub-7522522". This is new in the last few days. Moderators, what's up?

Hmmm....it's never happened to me. The only time anything other than normal behavior occurs is when I click the down arrow just next to the back arrow on Firefox.

Are you using IE, Firefox, or another browser? Mac or PC?

Just trying to see if we can narrow down the problem to some common symptoms.

Just tested. Double click to go back is required on my system consistently.

Now that you mention it, I do have to double click to go back. I never noticed too much, but when I'm on my laptop it's just easier to use the backspace to go back. I'm running IE6 on both the laptop and work pc.

I think I know what the issue is but I can't really prove it. At the bottom of the pages there is a "More links" section and to the right a white box. That white box appears to be a "page" that isn't loading properly. Just an idea...

It's not happening for me. Using IE 7.
The URL mentioned above is extremely similar to the URL for the "Ads by Goooooooogle" link near the top of the page.

OK - I use Firefox and don't see the problem. Seems like it's limited to IE.

for sure it's something with google ads... the url generating the error is

http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/ads?client=ca-pub-7522522"

the php source code shows that this sites client number is...

google_ad_client = "pub-7522522145124525

looks like the url is missing some numbers, which is causing an extra page to load in the background, causing us to have to click back twice...

IE 6.0.x w/ SP2, need to double click to go back.
Same computer running Firefox v 2.0.0.2 does not require a double click.

Haven't tried it on any other computer, though.
