wheel spacers/opinions?

hi all

i am surfing the web for spacers for my 06 v 8 which has just been lifted and came across this

please let me know ,should i buy those or should i get all pro ?the bidding is not over yet ,should i even bid on these?

it says in description its not allowed for highway and street use,is that true or ????????

as i read through,people use them as DD and have no problems!!!

I installed Spidertrax 1" set a week ago. Love the look. Everything working great so far.

I borrowed my dad's Torque wrench to make sure I met the specifications required in the instructions. Took them off road on a short trip and worked fine.

Removing all tires and checking the nuts with torque wrench to make sure everything stayed tight.

Did Spidertrax start making 1" spacers now? Up till now(unless it changed) Spidertrax & All-Pro only made 1.25" spacers for the 4Runners.

I think it's still only 1.25"... I could be wrong.. As far as using them, a lot of folks here have them with no issues.

You are correct... 1.25".

They are not DOT approved. This can cause you two real issues. 1. They won't pass a vehicle safety inspection. 2. Insurance liability. This would be my biggest concern. If you were to have an issue, your insurance will deny the claim. That may not sound like much, but imagine if you were in a serious accident. You would be hung out to dry. Even worse if someone else gets hurt and your insurance denies coverage, you become financially responsible for payment. For me it makes no reasonable sense to try to save a few dollars on something that could destroy you for life. My advice is to just spend the money on the correct wheels and be done with it.

make sure you get the correct spacers for your application, either hubcentric, or lugcentric. also, get the ET lug nuts.
Allpro offers these on their site, they aren't that expensive, and totally worth it.

i ordered 6061 t6 alluminum hub centric 1.5" spacers all around for 160$.all pro made with the same exact material !!!

what is the difference in regular lug nuts and et?

and what whould i torque spacers and wheels at?

ET lug are Extra Thread. they will just engage more threads, and are highly recommended.

the torque specs should come with the spacers.

I ran the all pro spacers on my buggy torqued to spec and they never gave me any trouble. Had them holding 42's TSL SX's on 2" backspaced beadlocks with Lincoln lockers. I ran them for three years and would use them again in a heartbeat.
