I have a 2011 SR5 stock with 265/70/17. I was looking to get a wheel and tired package in the near future. I was wondering if anyone has any info about what the best wheel/tires size would be best. I would like to go a little wider of a tire, but I don't want rubbing. I also like a wheel that has 4.5" backspacing. Anyone have any suggestions?

275/70-17 is the largest you can go on stock suspension without rubbing. I have 275 destination AT's. They're great tires....good handling and low roadnoise. Take a look at my pics. As far as what to go with, I'd recommend looking at the lifted pics and owner's pics threads....there's so many choices. Stok wheels, as you mentioned, are 4.5" backspace and 0 offset. From what I've read, you want to stay as close as possible to those numbers. However, rim width can be increased to 8" without rubbing. Tirerack is a great tool as well.

Actually, I have 285/70/17 with no rub. Keeping in mind, even though mine are LT tires, they are not AT. AT may have slightly more size anomalies. Then I changed the Caster, got a small amount of rub, only in reverse and only If I had the wheel cranked all the way left or right. I moved the plastic inner wheel well in 1/2 inch and no more rub. So, I think 285/70/17 is the largest without a lift. But maybe somebody else did more.

Yeah, makes sense. I'm sure the more aggressive the tread, the more rubbing. It seems Duratracs, for example, appear +1 size from what they really are.
