Broke my spring compressor... One front left. Will take it to the shop tomorrow.
When will the Bilstein 6112 be released?

sucks man. I rented one from autozone and attempted to mount the spring, but found that the larger diameter strut was hitting against the clamps on the compressor. I said F it and took it into a local shop that had a wall mount. Took them five minute and didn't even charge me.

When i installed the 6112, I had to loosen the front stabilizer bar bracket bolts and the stabilizer link so I could rotate the stabilizer bar up and out of the way so i could put the 6112 in. I tied the stabilizer bar/link to the UCA to hold it up and out of the way.

This is how i did the 5160. Top nut on the driver side hadn't been tighten down yet in the pic...

Wow, 2.5" lift? That's too much of a variance. I'm not ready for that yet. I knew it's higher then 1.5" maybe 1.75-1.85" but 2.5" has me worry now. what to do, what to do....

Maybe just use the factory coils with the 5160s.

I was thinking, wouldn't positive caster reduce the lift result? I noticed that my lift seemed higher before the alignment and my tires didn't rub as bad on the liner. After the alignment and getting more positive caster my lift went down some and I rubbed a lot more because the wheels were pushed closer to the front

Just wondering did you take a measurement of the front after you installed the 6112 and before installing the rears. Just wondering mine is getting done on Monday and I am wanting to stay 2 inch and under. I guess I am going to use the middle setting. Buy the way love the black rhinos. Just be careful I have a set and this winter the salt destroyed them. Not very good clear coating. I am hoping Tse stands up and helps out. Oh yeah using the 5100 with factory spring.

I got my Modded Toytec TP14 spacer back from being faced to 1/8" thickness (BTW it looks awesome! :clap2
I hope I don't need it but will have them in case I do!
So the 1st Pic is both side by side, 2nd pic is the modded TP14 1/8"thick!

So finally got it in and aligned and with a full tank of gas here's the before (stock), and after with TP14 front driver spacer, 6112s set 4th up, 5160s with 1.5" top spacer, measured floor to fender (tape over hub for ref):
Stock:
Driver front 34 7/8
Passenger front 35 3/8
Driver rear 36 1/2
Passenger rear 37
Lifted:
Driver front 37 1/2

Maybe our setting for the 4Runner reflect more on the 4x2 lift guide off the Tacoma
Seems like everyone on the 4th setting is getting atleast 2.5" of lift

Has anybody actually picked up the phone and called TAP? I know that we have called Bilstein, but don't think anybody has actually called/emailed TAP on the issue. I know they are on this forum, but we can't expect them to just see posts on this thread and provide an answer. It would have been nice to hear from them, but I would rather hear direct from Bilstein on this.
I was thinking that one of the variables that could affect the lift height is the alignment. Depending on the alignment settings, including what wheel offset and tire size were used with the alignment, could change the lift result?

Hey guys, Chas here. Ive been out of town for the last week. Im playing catchup with tons of emails and messages and will try to get back to everyone who Pm'ed by tomorrow.
Read thru this whole thread, we have spoke to a lot of customers during install, but no one mentioned these differences.
Bilstein would be the best people to address this issue, with upwards of 50 kits out on the market now, we've only seen this in this thread. Bilstein is working on it right now. They are going to try to replicate the height variation. Will chime in soon on these.
Saker was the only one who called. We are on a lot of forums, hard to keep up! We have tagged this thread to keep an eye on it and offer up any more info when we get it.

my rear setup has settled 0.50" so I ended up with 2.0" in the rear.
