I found this photo in Okki's thread, lol. It looks like they might match the back plastic piece on these mudguards. I must have taken them off for the Shrockworks Slider install on my Limited Edition. No wonder they wouldn't fit in the engine bay...

They go behind the front wheels, above the mudguard. Threw mine away a long time ago - they are not necessary and if you have larger tires you pretty much have to remove them anyway.
