Where is the USB Port/Plug?

I was at the dealership looking at a new 2012 4Runner the other day, and I couldn't find the USB/iPod plug. The spec. sheet clearly says there is one, but the dealer and I could not find one. After I got home, I saw something on the 'Net that the plug was in the glove box; is that true?

So is the user manual.

Surprising the dealer sales rep didn't know where to find the UBS outlet, or how to look it up (!?!?!??!)... I would tell him it's a $25K vehicle fully accessorized, because he likely also won't know where to find the MSRP....:thumb3:

Okki

Top left hand corner of the glove box.

I thought I read that they were moving the USB Port on 2012 models to the center console stack. If it's not in the glovebox, look in that area under the stereo (it's accessed by lifting up the "door"). It could be in there.

I think the USB move is being made for the 2013s. Could be wrong though.

Didn't move it for the '12s. I got one and its still in the box. But don't really care because it has Bluetooth Tech also so the wifes iPhone and my pod work with that instead

Can you stream music to a non-entune radio as long as the vehicle is equipped with Blutooth? My wife loves the streaming function that the Camry with entune has. We are about to purchase a 12' with blutooth but the base radio...

I have a 2010 Limited (no entune) with nav and I stream stuff via bluetooth all the time. Works fine for me with calls and music, etc.

Yes...when you pair your phone make sure you don't just do phone only. I stream Pandora on my 10' SR5 just fine.

Same here. Rhapsody subscription so I have not paid for an album for at least three years. Just find it, download it, and stream it!

:hatsoff:

Ok, I bought the 4runner (from a different dealer), and the iPod interface is in the glove box. The main 12 V plug is underneath the radio, the main 3-prong 120 V plug is in the center console, and there is another plug of each type in the back. Thanks for all the help!
