Where to buy Bilstens 5100?

I found a thread here a few months ago where several of you linked the sites of your purchase and I can find it anymore. One of the sites sold all 4 bilsteins adjustable shocks for around $290 shipped.

Also, tire recs? I'm on pavement 90% of the time so what would yall recommend for a good tire?

Got my 5100 from Down South . I purchased them off ebay (they list them for a FJ) free shipping, got them quick! 3 working days. Paid $309.99. That was the best price I could find and I tried every coupon code I could get my hands on, shopped many distributers. I was very pleased with the transaction and I called them as well they were very nice.:peace:
 
Guys,

Would it be possible for someone to call out the Bilstein part numbers for front and rear. It seems like different websites want to sell me different P/Ns.

Bilstein has changed part numbers several times. The numbers you're seeing are most likely the same shock. Current part numbers are 24-186711 front and 33-187174 rear.
 
I cant stress enough to check craigslist. I just scored a pair of 5100s fronts for $130. It was missing the box, but both shocks, clips, and hardware came with it.

You should add these links of places to buy in your suspension sticky thread, just a thought.
 
One more question.

I know most members have their 5100's set to 0.85 and it still slightly raked. Would setting th perch at 1.75 give it the completely leveled look or will it slightly raise the front? I found a few here that are set to 1.75 and some say it's level and some say the front is a tad higher...

I don't tow anything or would even really carry heavy loads in the back just an FYI.

That's border line, each 4runner is different. I suggest measuring yours, and maybe use a jack under the grunt end to simulate different lift amounts.

Just got mine done over the weekend and set it at 1.75" I'll snap a pic tomorrow. It is just a tad nose high, but it looks fine.

If it really bugs me, I might just get the OME 10mm rear spacer.

Nice wheels, looks good.

I think that the 2005 and earlier T4R's look more nose-high when leveled in the front because of the lines in the fender. The rounded fenders on the 2006 and later model years hide the nose-high stance a little bit better.
