Which Color?

The contrast of the body color and the fenders/bumpers is what makes the TE so good looking, IMO. I have never been in love with silver, but it looks really good on the TE, so I bought one. The shoreline is also great for the same reasons. Mag grey is nice, but fell off the short list because I didn't want to keep it clean, its hot and the black doesn't stand out enough. Get the color that makes you keep turning around in a parking lot to look at your rig as you walk away.

Agreed. I like the contrast of the black trim with a lighter body color. I'm not normally a fan of silver (too plain), but on the TE it looks good.

I went with mag gray and I love it more every day. It has enough contrast with the black trim. I also love the black interior with the silver/black dash. It makes the entire truck more "integrated" if that makes sense.

I normally like black cars (owned 2 in the past), but with black you don't get that contrast. Might as well get a limited in that color....

But honestly I like all of the TE colors.....

I agree with FlyNavy. If I were to get a TE I would most likely get it in silver. I especially how the black portion of the front bumber blends in with the black grill.

if its gonna get dirty often and wont be receiving frequent washes, DEFINETLY go with silver.

I'm definatly getting the rims powder coated black as well as tinting the driver and passenger windows. I'm thinking the shoreline blue would look SWEET with that setup.

I don't know if they still have one, but Stevenson's East recently had (or has) a Shoreline Blue Trail.

It will get washed just not 2 times a week.

My previous SUV was silver, and I agree that it's probably the least likely color to show dirt.

Black wheels? Dirt roads? I thought you were worried about dirt showing. Now you'll have to wash the wheels 2X / week - you might as well get the black 4R. IDK?

From what I've seen the powder coat rims dont show dirt as much as a black vehicle. It will be clean when its in town. Plus I dont like black on black. I just dont want it to show the fine dust that usually shows on dark vehicles.

Great advice~ now if you could tell me what dealership has a TE in stock in all of the colors I could walk right up to them and know which one's for me...

I had someone comment a week or two ago how good my black TE looked with a little mud on it...



And when it's clean, it is a classy beast.

If you are a clean freak, it is not the car for you unless you like washing it once a week.

Ditto on the never again on a black rig....black jeep, black blazer, black subaru.....i despise washing something numerous times a week.

I think lighter colors are definitely better at obscuring or "hiding" dirt, for lack of a better example. Believe it or not the shoreline blue is fairly decent at it, long as its not gobs. mine looks like crap right now because of all the pollen in the air here.

At this moment I am strongly considering Shoreline Blue Pearl. Here is why. I feel that the contrast that the black trim provides is outstanding. Add in tinted front windows and black powder coat rims and this vehicle will have a striking look.

If I had other rims to drive on for a bit, I'd be tempted to have to stock TE rims powder coated to match the trim. Maybe after I'm done with all the mechanical stuff. Harper's rims are also pretty sweet.
