How does the 5th gen ride compared to the 3rd gen? Smoother? Rougher? Quieter? Never been in a 5th gen. I do like the trail Editions. The limiteds and SR5s just look odd though. But the Trail shares a similar profile to the 3rd gen, at least looking from the side

I think it rides better than my 3rd gen and it's quieter but there are some things on the 3rd gen that I feel are more solid. I wouldn't have gotten a 5th gen unless it was a TE.

Not wanting to start a new thread yet but a sun burnt 2000, 2wd 4runner will be added to my garage in the coming weeks. My Outback is heading to my parents in Arizona and I'll be taking their 4runner which is in need of some TLC after spending its 260000+ mile life in Arizona. eep:
