its a right hand drive hilux. the mirror is use as a parking mirror in Japan.

Most JPN 4x4 has that mirror on passanger seat side.
It`s because one accident happened before.
A child was sitting and playing next to passanger front wheel.
Dad moved the car and run over his child to death because it was blinded area.
It was a big news in JPN and after that JPN car makers TOYOTA, NISSAN etc installed that mirror to see blind area for 4x4s.
but this mirror is very useless (only see very narror area of RED part on pic) and lots people removing it.
Btw my 4Runner got full painted (SATURN`s BlackBerry) so it`s not original color which was blue and grey 2tone color.

I will have lots of questions, please help me guys! Here in Uzbekistan we do most of repairs ourselves, it is hard to find mechanics who know how to work on Japanese cars. And, argh, the cost of parts is enormously high because we have to order them from Arab Emirates and by the time they get customs clearance they are twice (if not more) more expensive.
Just thought you'd be interested to know about my country a little...

Hey! My name is Chris, and I'm stationed at Eielson AFB. I've been up in alaska for about a month now. I have a 1995 Ford Bronco, and a 1987 Toyota 4Runner now! The Ford I'm selling, because I don't need 2 cars! I just bought it this morning for $2350! It has 221,000 miles on it, but it the engine was rebuild at 200,000 miles. I'll post more later!
