Hey there, My name is Rick and I am up here in Ontario Canada. I have an '87 4Runner that I am just starting to mod. I have had it for a few months now and I am loving it. So far it has amazed me and others (jeeps) as to where it can go and how well it can pull out others (jeeps). Who needs to be trail rated?

New Here , Hello

Hello Everyone !

Just wanted to say Hello and comment on what a great place this is . I have been doing non stop reading here for hours and hours . I just bought my first T4R on Saturday. A 98 Limited , in really sweet condition . Desert D , Auto , power this and that :biggrin2: .

I'm in the Fraser Valley outside Vancouver BC, Canada and was wondering where the best place around here is to buy goodies for my new baby ?
Any other locals from around my area hang out here ?

I have a few good questions I'll post later , thanks again !!

I use to have a Jeep as well; 95 Limited Grand Cherokee 4x4 5.2L V8...lol.. use to have a Toyota Rav4 AWD too... (see pics below) but I love my T4R so much more! I do miss the 4WD & AWD but I wouldn't use now as much as I did then.

Thanks for the welcome . I had a 1979 CJ5 that I restored from bumper to bumper . Was an awesome machine but not enough room inside .

Sure love the new 4R though . Its more comfy than the old Jeep thats for sure

Great site! I recently purchased an 07 SR5 V6 and I love it! No complaints at all. So far, I haven't done any mods other than change out the headlights and fog lights, but I don't think that will be the end of it.

JustAnotherT4R is right, once you start you'll want to do more.. hehehe... I thought I would leave my T4R stock, but now I treat it like I do my VW always trying to make it look a little more unique from the others while retaining the stock look...

JustAnotherT4r & a couple others here have some "REALLY" nice T4R's.. really nice...

Good for me, but unfortunately for you guys that puddle in the picture is as close to offroading as she's going to get for quite some time (a good 5 years or so and I'll break.) I bought my truck mainly for hauling/camping, towing, and for severe winter driving. It gets crazy sometimes here in the Buffalo area and I'm an avid snowboarder, so I like to drive during the snow storms down to the southtowns or out East to VT. I can't wait for her first snow run and roadtrip!
I plan on doing a lot of mods over the course of her life with me and I'll keep ya'll updated on here. I'm glad I came across this site when shopping around!

Another New Yorker

Hi All,

My wife and I just picked up our 'new' 2005 Sport Edition V8 on Saturday!



It's in perfect condition with only 11k miles and we couldn't be happier with it.

So far I've ordered a set of all-weather floor mats and cargo mat, to keep it nice during the Syracuse winters.

I'm planning on a Cornfed 2/1 lift, 265/70R17 Goodyear SAs and a pair of Lightforce 170s.

Thanks for the comments! We're very happy with the car and I think the V8 was a good decision.

We got really lucky with this car, it has everything we wanted including the remote keyless and the JBL, moonroof, wheel locks, etc.

wish 3rd gen came with a v8. i cant stand the power of a v6 after driving my Gf's tundra. =(
