Here is my rig.

G,day guys, been a bit busy.

It's a 98 General Motors Holden, pushrod, fuel injected 5.0 litre V8 (304 Cui). It's an all aussie V8 with Australian designed and cast block and I beleive the only all aussie V8.

They started out a either a 253 cui or 308 cui engine in the seventies. With the advent of fuel injection and several generations of technological advances they are now 304cui only.

Our ford V8s are all derived form US engines.

It can be stroked right out to 383Cui.

It produces 185kw (roughly 250hp) and 340 Nm of torque.

I chose it over the Lexus because performance parts are a dime a dozen in Aus when compared to the lexus and it makes it's power and in particular torque at much lower revs. It will basically lope along at 800 rpm with the 4 Runners gearing.

And it lights up the rear wheels on the runner if I am careless

Just bought it last night. Motor is strong and all 4x4 ranges work. It has allot of rust and some misc. problems like slow electric windows and lack of lubrication on cables and door locks. Also noticed a large pool of oil under it this morning. Bought from a woman who had to leave the island quick, and the neighbors are all kinda jealous. Plan to use mostly as a backup for my aging 2wd Frontier, and for trips to Polihale and Kokee State Park.

I have a pretty stock 4runner except for a few improvments such as two 10 inch bazooka subwoofers with a pioneer head unit. P265/70/R16 Goodyear wrangler RT/S tires

Please disregard the dealership where I purchased as none of the Toyota dealerships in my town deemed it was necessary to give me the time of day

'05 SR5 4WD in Titanium Metallic, the only mods I have are listed below and can be removed with a finger nail!
I have an Alpine head unit sitting on my kitchen table and some speakers still in a box.... for the past year. (insert wise-crack).
I love my Runner just the same.
OH, I bought it certified pre-owned and there is a weird stain under the back row that you can only see when you put the seats flat and it looks like what carpet looks like after you use cleaner on it that would remove blood. maybe?

we have the same problem here, if you ask a question about a Toyota at a dealership they treat you as though you are not worthry of buying one.
Very frustrating.
