As of right now, nothings really planned yet. A few of us OC guys are thinking of a parking lot meet, but I'll also check with the FJ guys to see if we got any trail runs coming up.
In the Socal section theres some mention of maybe Hungry Valley this weekend. I'm 50/50, since theres the Costa Mesa show this weekend.

Never ceases to amaze me the ages of some of the people on here driving brand new 4Runners...
Just goes to show you the vastly different lives some people lead...LOL...
When I was 17 I think I was just lucky to have a roof (house) over my head...
Took me 33 years to get my Runner
In any case, good for the 17 year olds...pretty hot ride at that age for sure...
If my parents could have afforded to buy me one at the time I am sure I would have gladly accepted it too...LOL...Good times...Life is good...

How do you know for sure that their parents bought it for them? Or was that just an assumption? I got mine in August when I was 18, and now I am 19, and have mine fully paid off by myself. Not to mention I have paid for all of my mods along the way, which is another few thousand. If you have the right drive, buying expensive things at a young age isn't hard.

In any case, I didn't make this post to argue or anything like that. Pretty impressive for an 18 year old to own a brand new 4runner out right regardless of the circumstances...Don't know your situation and frankly it is not my concern. I would have killed to be in your situation when I was your age....
"It's not that hard"...Forgive me but I find this to be a bit of a comical statement...Buying a vehicle like this when you are sub 20 years old is not easy for most. The fact that you said this seems to indicate to me that your view of the realities that most people face is a bit distorted...All good man...Good for you...

I graduated H.S. when I was 17. 22nd in my class. Honor student all 4 years. I walked to school even in sub-zero weather. Sucked. What I was able to get from that is that the harder you fight for something the greater you appreciate it. Everything I own right now came from my pocket. Nothing has ever been given to me...I pride myself in that respect...no offense to the young 4Runner owners in this forum. If you are a young late 4Runner owner...just appreciate & take good care of it bcuz you are driving a BAD ASS RIG!!!

Car model: Fortuner (called different here) 4.0 V6
Front bumper modified for better ground clearance and added skid plate for radiator protection. Drilling of holse in the front of the alu skid plate for the ventilation is still underway.

You have Prado on the picture.
Fortuner is a different model to 4Runner, but both use some components from Prado.
Never drove 4Runner in the desert, but some of my friends did it in Nevada, saing very good words.

Well, I found this forum about 6 months ago when I bought my first 4runner and finally decided to join in the festivities.
I'm a student, live in Lubbock, TX and bought a Black 04 SR5 V6 4x4 with a sunroof. The only mods I've done so far is a Thule snowboard roof rack, Firestone Destination A/T's, and I got my windows tinted today. Some of you have done some pretty amazing mods to your cars...Hopefully I can get a black brush guard and tail light guards in the near future.
This is the only pic I have of my 4Runner right now...This is at Wolf Creek, CO after a day of boarding in a blizzard.
Oh, btw she didn't have any problems handling the snow and the traction control is great on ice.

Sound has Tickets to prove itself. Not proud of tickets just proud i did it right !!
Next is exhaust, Motor than body adds... need to make her 4*4 ready. She is pretty much all stock now, but its still a GREAT TRUCK!!!!!!!
i was pretty suprised when i started getting PEOPLE in the metro DET area asking me to buy this truck. I was not that aware they are so in demand...
Hold on to yer rigs boys there coming after us!!!

Kamakura Kid here, typing at you all from Seattle. I own a 87 4Runner SR5 22RE. Originally came with a juicebox, recently converted to manual tranny. What a difference!

Smittybilt front bumper and nerf bars
Warrior rear bumper
Air horn approved by US Coast Guard for watercraft up to 65' LOA

Right now I only have this one pic on this computer (I just had two computers eat their HD's), I'll take some better ones soon to share:
