Hey all,
I have been lurking for a few days and have found the forum to be very informative. After seeing all the great rigs here I am inspired to get mine cleaned up and taken care of!
I live in Billings,MT but also own a home in Gypsum,CO which we are renting out.
My Runner is a 98 SR5 4x4 140K miles. What can I say, it is a great rig. It is my daily driver-and is used to get around on Forest Service Rds during the summer, and to get to the ski hill in the winter. We also use it to tow our popup camper.
This truck was purchased brand new by my wife before we met, but I have "inherited" it as she drives our Outback XT.
I have had several other comparable SUV's,small trucks etc (Mitsubishi Montero Sport, Nissan Pathfinder,Nissan Hardbody) and the Toy is a much better rig all the way around IMO
The only problem we have had with the truck was the factory alarm shorting out and causing intermittent non starting issues(we had the dealer disable it).
All in all this is a pretty bomber truck-did not have to have any brake work done until 110K-replaced the timing belt/water pump at 100K as per scheduled maintainance

hehe i went to the dark side guys...bought a 06 jeep wrangler TJ sport...my dad kept the runner tho so i will pop in here and there

I just picked up a 2006 Sport Edition V6, with 20K on it. So far, I'm really liking it. I've been a Ford guy forever, and this is my first foreign car/truck. I've been perusing this forum for a week or two, and so far it's been very informative. Now I just need to resist the urge to modify things!

haha i still love that runner tho its put up with all my bs i ran the hell out of it and still runs new i give toyota props. I havent had my jeep long enough to compare..specailly off road but we will see :biggrin2:

i have been lurking around here for some time before i decided to make a profile.
i had an 08 cobalt and traded up to a 06 4runner sport v8 around a month ago. i love it! i dont think i could ever part with my ride now..made for a nice valentines day
oh well here it is. i took this when the weather was horrible one day. half of the car was iced over.
