Who's Got The Biggest Dog In Their 4Runner?

btw.. has anyone found a contraption to keep your dog from trying to jump over the second row seat?

What does everyone use to tie their dog to? The leash that is.

I had a dog for literally one night. LOL

I adopted a 4 month old puppy, half German Shepherd, half Siberian Husky. Albino with some light copper marking, one blue eye, one green eye.

Wife nixed that dog after the first night. Howling all night, then the exploding diarrhea incident all over the bedroom wall, floor, and door.

Anyway, the few times he was in the truck, I just tied his leash to one of the tie downs. That way he could roam around, but couldn't jump the seats. Worked great.

*sigh* I miss that puppy.

By tie downs, do you mean the little metal pop up levers?

A leash and the tiedowns work.
Also, the 5th gens - just put the headrests as high as they go :biggrin:

Yep. Long story short:
My 12 year old insisted we kennel the dog in his room. At about 2 in the morning, and with no sleep due to the howling (that's the husky side coming out), we moved him to our room.

As I was setting him up, I noticed him crouching in the corner. I thought he was peeing (I had taken him out every hour, and he peed every time). So I picked him up, and put him outside. Then the smell hit us. My wife turned on the light, and, well, you know what we saw. I apparantly helped disperse it when I picked him up to put him outside. LOL

Good news is, he had a brother that was also returned because the girl couldn't have any big dogs in her apartment complex. So, within a week, someone adopted both of them. So, they are together somewhere. He was an awesome dog, though.

And yeah, the silver clasp things in the back. I just looped the leash through it, then back through the hande loop. Then hooked the dog up. Works great.

Molly is on the left. She is 121 lbs. Kona is on the right an weighs in at 142 lbs. She is a little on the heavy side an we are trying to trim her down.

They hold their weight well

I don't have a Pic of him in my T4R yet but this was my custom "dog house" on my '03 Taco, and my 75 pound, Shepherd, lab, Husky mix. He is an amazing snow dog.

Not certain, you are not the first to infer that he may be part wolfhound. He is 75% St Bernard, the 25% is up in the air. When we got him we were told poodle, he has the narrow hips like a poodle. Who knows. He's a mongrel.
