Evidently the majority of the people are, i think it is a shame that we have not had better choices in the last few elections. Back to your question, i think he would be a shake up the system president, i like that he has balls, i say give him a shot for a term. It is kind of scary though.

Anything is better than Obama IMHO. The only reason Trump is so popular is because Obama's presidency has pushed the pendulum to the other side. I prefer Ted Cruz, but given Trump vs. Hilary, Trump gets my vote. We need to get away from this liberal crap storm and being PC about every damn thing.

Can't decide what Republicans like best about Trump. Is it the universal healthcare? The support of Planned Parenthood? The support for the DREAM Act and amnesty? Favoring an assault weapons ban and universal background checks? A one time 14.5% tax on all net worth over 10M to pay down the national debt? Opposition to the Bush Administration and the Iraq War? Or are they willing to overlook all that because he gets on the stage acting like a racist, promoting torture and murder, and generally being a dick?

I agree, but how did it get to this? Maybe someone will wake the hell up and say we can not let it get to this again. Now, just like Obama, if the people vote then so be it.

We have had better choices, but people refuse to look outside the two major parties. Check out Gary Johnson, he'll be running as the Libertarian party candidate again.

Like Kevin said, the whole political system is stupid and I have never understood why people are forced to be in two groups, and anyone who isn't part of a mainstream political faction automatically won't win. It's appalling how many people vote for someone solely because they are "the democratic nomination" or republican and nothing us.

Let's be real, just because Trump says his immediate thought, doesn't mean it's the truth. The guy is full of ****ing lies and half truths.
If you have time, give this a watch. It's the John Oliver daily show bit. I will admit, a lot of it is worthless bashing (for the sake of comedy)...essentially doing the same thing Trump does to who he disagrees with. Which I find ironic, but there's legit points to be considered.

I have privately thought for a long time what it would be like if we had a true businessman running the country instead of a politician. Trump is not my first choice (or even my 10th) but it looks like he has a shot. I broke my "no news" rule last night and watched his press conference. He is definitely not a politician. From my plebeian viewpoint he sounded exactly like a businessman except, instead of making a monetary offer to buy something, he is basically throwing lowball platform positions knowing each and every one will be negotiated. Take immigration or the wall on the border - He damn well knows he can't have that. To me he is making a deal and throwing out his opening offer. Example: A truck is for sale for $10K. I think I can get it for $9K. Do I offer $9K? No. I offer $8K and wait for their counteroffer. If I offered $9K their counter would be $9.5K. Offer $8K, they counter at $9K and we have a deal. This is simplistic but this is the way all business is done. I am pretty sure he is doing that with the issues. At least I hope that is what he is doing.
