Wife wrecked my car

So, I normally try to talk her out of using my car because she doesnt pay attention well when she drives. So I just let her take it for maybe the 4th time since I got it in 2011 and this happens.

Anybody know any good repair shops in the Chicago area or do you think its totaled?

The number of "wives" that wreck their hubby's ride is truly amazing!

I was the first to say that once they get the vote, they're gonna want to get out of the kitchen and then they're gonna want to drive and bam they are going to be wrecking our Model T 4x4s!

Is that why those desert shieks don't let their women drive?

Hope your wife is ok, at the end of the day that's all that matters, it's just a vehicle. Take the insurance check and get a new one because I'd bet that is totalled.

Agreed, I am pretty sure she feels really bad about it. Don't accept the first insurance offer, say no at least twice.

I've seen a lot of vehicles totaled once the passenger air bag deploys. Two of mine...both wrecked by the wife.

Your pics look like burbs, and if so my wife's car, (got rear ended) just got dropped off at White eagle auto body in Oswego, my friend Brian works there and I know they do OCD work.

Good luck in either direction. Id start to plan out swapping out parts just in case like OEM rims/tires. etc.

Everyone is fine. She had my kids with her too but nobody was hurt. She just rear ended a 3series BMW. BMW doesnt have too much damage at all either.

There is a white eagle auto body in Naperville just down the street from me. They looked like a good shop but I have never had to deal with them. I will give it a look, thank you.

That car was my baby. Made sure I brought it to Toyota for everything, sure it cost more but I like knowing it was done there.

I think you should be thankful she is okay. Car did her job protecting her. If it was something other than a 4runner, she might have been even more hurt.

Unless you really know the people fixing it, the car won't really run the same. I would take the check and upgrade

Probably a $12k bill to get that fixed. I'd argue that if it has frame damage (which includes the radiator support) then you work to have it totaled due to safety concerns in the future.
