wiggly mirror

my pass side mirror has gotten wiggly....loose. NOT where it mounts to the body but where the head mounts to the part comming off the body/door

I imagine there must be a bolt or something inside...looks like the only way to get to it would be to remove mirror. The 3 screws mounted low on head, visible from outside do not do any good

If that is the fix ( a nut inside) is the mirror replaceable and how ?

I have the same issue on my 02 on the driver side. Two of the 3 screws are seized in place, but I was able to improve it by tightening the one that I could get to move. At some point I'll extract the screws and see if that resolves it

My driver side mirror got hit by a 2x4 kicked up from a car in front going about 50, busted mirror, replaced that but now upper part of housing is loose from body by about 1/4", I can see a screw - here goes another attempt to tighten up....

maybe mine are siezed too as I could not get them to budge

I had the same too and was able to do a bush fix by wedging some thick insulating tape in there. I figure it’s not a “real” fix but then again is held for about 3 months now.

Same, can’t fold the mirror or you have to redo it.
