Best buy in Southern California for a roof top tent.
And you can pick it up, install it, and visit Disneyland all in a day.
Mention this forum, and post, and pick it up, and I bet you get a discount, just saying. They have room to negotiate and they will.
By the way, their tents are manufactured by the same company as CVT.
They only carry one size, but I think they may be able to get you any size you want.

This is plenty because no matter what size I get, my wife is either going to share my space or sleep on top of me, so we could sleep comfortably in the back seat (comfortably? only after she wears me out).

Bumping myself looking for real world experience

Almost Moved
I spent the day cleaning everything, and organizing. Threw away a bunch of stuff I was keeping that I will never use.
The shop looks pretty good. Its about 10 feet longer then the attached pic shows.
As well here is a pic of the next project...its fairly clean and I have a ton of extra parts. It needs sensor in the tranny and full tranny service as well as A timing belt.

Linda and I may live in Southern UT, but we still get enough of the arts to satisfy us part of the year. Tonight we saw the National Dance Company of Siberia. Its part of Dixie State University and the Celebrity Concert Series. You can not see shows like this outside of the major metropolitian areas except in southern Utah.
We have some of the best productions between this series and the Tuacahn and we have have some of the best wheeling in the US. What more can ask for, beside a women like mine, not a princess, a true queen, but you better be smooth to get her attention.
My only complaint is this year is no one is presenting opera, I will have to settle for Willy Nelson is he comes back this year.

Take trip up here to go wheeling, but remember Utah has more to offer than just great vistas and wheeling.

Shop looks good! I cleaned mine for 2 hours the other day, and in another 2 hours I was already seeing footprints in the plasma and grinder dust.... I still can't believe how much of a mess the plasma cutter makes.
I like that next project too, I'd love to find one of those for a hunting truck!

There is a blue one that is a rust free, but needs paint, or not. Hell come out here and I have a good can of flat buckskin beige we can spray on it. It seems like you could drive home no problem, for 2500 bucks( likely 2000). Almost new tires too. I will grab some pictures today and post them later. I was actually thinking about it yesterday, but with my Dodge, Ford, and two Harleys, I am about out of parking at the moment.
The shop is clean now, but I bet I it won't be for long. The upside is the epoxied floor coating, so I should be able to maintain it.

Day 17
Discovered that my left side innner tie rod is shot. It has a tear in the boot and something that looked like a Gerber baby food terd came out off the tear. So I will read up on it tonight, order the part and replace it.
I finished torqueing everything, and made sure everything that should, has Locktight on it. Blue medium strength is good for shocks. High strength and next set of shocks, you will hate the asshat who used it. I cannot over emphasize what a great product Permatex and Locktight thread lock is, so make sure you use the right color and strength, or you will regret it later.
I also did a mitivac flush of the break system. First (ignition off,) I drew out of the main reservoir as much of the fluid as I could, about four cups worth. I then replace that with clean fluid. Next(ignition on,) I went to the right rear side, (the passenger, side, to clear up the confusion caused by the FSM,) and vacuumed there until I got clean fluid. I replaced the drawn fluid in the reservoir and moved to the left side rear, and then vacuumed there until clean fluid appeared, again refilled the the reservoir, and moved to front right side, and vacuumed it, the results were stunning, as the fluid was horrible looking. See the photo. Refilled the reservoir, and did the left front, the fluid again was very dirty. DONT FORGET TO KEEP THE RESEVOIR FILLED IF YOU DO THIS PROCEDURE< OR YOU WILL SCREW THE POOCH!
The result was that I now have clean fresh fluid throughout the brake system, and should be good for a few miles, all other things remaining equal.

Finished setting up the shop today and moved the 4TR. The throttle body MAF cleaning and replaced hoses and intake tubes did the trick she is running great. No engine light, but I could not check the codes because someone has walked off with my Toyota adapter for my Innova reader. I hope I can find one, because I do not want to buy another reader.
All that is missing is the inappropriate and politically incorrect sexy nude wall art and calendar (and my wife is working on that for me,) and a beer fridge.
I chocked the front wheels, lifted the rear end, removed the wheels and tires, placed them under the vehicle just in case it comes down in the process, and sprayed PB on the drums, and called it a day. Wheel chocks up front are cheap protection for your life. A box of good condoms cost more and offers less protection.
A clean shop is a happy shop!

Day 19
Spent the day wrestling the rear brake drums off. I inspected the brakes through the viewing hole and while the pads look good, the drivers side was sticking and did not feel just right, so I decided to do a brake job and know the brakes were right.
Well little did I know. Whoever did the last rear brake job, was a ditz. The drums were clued to the axles and the passenger side took 3 hours to get off. Even using the threaded holes with bolt, it would not break free. About three hours of the soaking it with PB, banging it with a mallet it finally loosened and I was to advance the bolt and get it off. The driver side cam off easier, but was also glued in place and bear to get off.
I also took the time to do a couple of paint samples to help me decide on colors for the limited trim. All it did was confuse me more, so I am going to paint one side door trim black, and on side graphite and see how they look.
I am also thinking about painting the bumper whatever color the trim is, but I am not absolute on that...maybe graphite trim, black wheel and bumper...the good thing about paint for me is I can change my later and redo it...Tell me what you think...
