Windshield washer sensor/indicator

Just trying to find out where the windshield washer sensor is located that lights up the "low washer fluid" sensor is located. My light is on all the time and want to just unplug or replace it.
Just trying to try this before I settle for electrical tape.

you have an indicator for windshield fluid?!!?! wow... maybe I need to fix my runner! :0) Ive never seen a light for windshield fluid! :sobbing:

ditto....i had no idea we had a low fluid light....hmmmm....what year 4R do you have?

No light here either but if you need to know that the fluid is low the rear wiper sprayer will stop working before the front sprayers do.

Only the Canadian models have wiper fluid indicators, I want to figure out how to get one on a US Spec runner. As for the location it has to be somewhere on the washer fluid resevoir:

The sensor is located in the reservoir.

thanks for your help guys. Maybe we have the indicator light in Canada because we use more of it and need to be reminded.
I'm going to see if I can find the sensor and just unplug it.
And for whoever was asking, I just picked up a 99 limited 4runner in 5spd.

We're you able to disconnect the light I just read your post and have the same problem with my 99. Kind of annoying on the highway at night :-(

I've got a Canadian 4Runner which has the indicator light. Mine was also acting up last year, and I posted a similar question to get it resolved. I ended up going under the truck, finding the wire at the reservoir, and just cutting it. If your washer fluid pump quits working....you cut the wront wire! :roadkill: I ended up splicing it back together, and cut the other!

My '98 has had the light on for over 2 years now, maybe I should get around to disconnecting it
