Windshield wipers

Does anyone else here who owns 5th gen think the windshield wipers are a little loud?

It might just be my imagination but when i've got it on the constant setting it seems like it stops abruptly at the top and makes sort of a "whack" noise.

That noise is customizable, it is in the manual right next to the seat belt chime. Sorry I couldn't resist.

Sometimes it's just the new blades on a nice new windshield. Most likely the whack comes when the blade transitions from one direction to the other. Give it a bit of time and let the blades limber up and see if it gets better :thumb3:

No blade noise on mine, the only wiper issue I have is that the rear window blade doesn't seem to wipe as far as it should. I had the dealer check and they said it was normal but it seems like it should go a bit further.

I agree that it should sweep further! My wife asked if there was something wrong. This is a real disappointment to me! I would guess they will modify this sometime in the future, if they ever recover from the gas peddle issue. Ha!

No noise in mine either but the same opinion about the back wiper. It's nice to have the wiper hidden but it's not as functional as the older style is.

I found the same, no noticeable noise. I also agree about the rear wiper, it is disappointingly short and too far off to the side, however, since I never had one in my Tahoe it is still nice to have.

The wipers on the 5th gen are supposed to be quieter and more effective- they have a lot less plastic
