Wiring from head unit to rear speakers...

My head unit and all my speakers are custom and my rear speakers have stopped working. I imagine there is either a problem inside the head unit itself where the power isnt going to the rear speakers, or there is a wiring problem. If anyone knows where I can find a wiring diagram from the stereo to the rear speakers, that would be great. Or if someone knows how to find the problem in the head unit and fix it... Thanks

Do you have an amp? If not pull panels and start checking wires to see if anything came loose.

I dont have an amp. I havent checked the wiring from the head unit yet, ill do that today, but i doubt thats the problem.

What year? And audio option did it have on there? I can help you with the wiring diagram.
Your tears should be on different channels so it is odd that both has stop working at the same time.
How many speakers is hook up in the rear per channel?
Check your fade and balance. Make sure its not all to Front.

If u have a after market deck say Sony, Pioneer, jvc what ever it may be. Most of those after market deck wiring harness that come with them are marked. Front left speaker front right speaker and so on and forth. Its tiny writing so u will really have to look. If not remove rear speakers check wiring color and trace it to ur deck. Honestly it sounds like its up in the head unit.

Last 4runner I did the door wire color didnt match up with the rear stereo harness. I would get a hold of a diagram. You could potentially mess more things up if you try to color match these two set of wires.

I had a similar issue with my first runner, assumed it was the 17 year old head unit, turned out ,somehow, a few wires got knicked by one of the trim screws that go along the floor at the door, enough that the corroded and finally the rear speakers quit working without notice
