Wiring Front Bumper Indicator Missing

Hi,

I have an issue with a cable that is not connected to anything, located just behind the front left indicator on my hilux surf (RHD). This is causing the indicator not to work and the rest to blink at 2x speed.

Does anyone know what should be connected into this connector? Wondering if it's the outer ambient temp sensor but i'm not sure.

The indicator is plugged into its connector and i just changed the bulb so it's not that. I can only assume something used to be plugged into this connector, that is wired into the same circuit causing the car to think it's an indicator that is broken and that whatever was attached to it has fallen off?

i guess if anyone has a gen 3 and can take a pic behind their indicator on the front left, i should be able to see what is missing...

Any chance it connects to the fender-mounted indicator or corner/running light?
You have 2 more turn signals than we do, are they functioning correctly?

I believe it connects to NOTHING as i have the same unused connector just hanging there. I am doing an engine trans R&R an touched nothing up there and that's how i found it.

Yes, that's the ambient air temp sensor location. Depending on keying it is either for the HVAC system or the Field Monitor. Not at all related to your lights.

You have a problem somewhere else, so now you get to track it down...
