Wiring issue with brakes

Just got me an 87 runner and i have an issue with the brake wiring or something. I hit the brakes and my dash and parking lights come on. Not sure where to start looking. Definately don't have time to waste chasing my tail. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. :ybrick:

Make sure you have the correct light bulbs in.

Check your grounds. I think the main light circuit ground is located behind both kick panels.

Check the service manual sticky at the top of the forum.

Does the truck have a trailer hitch and wiring for the trailer lights?
If so, that's a common source of lighting problems.
