wouldnt it be worth having a sticky with clear pictures of what our runners look like with different size tires and lifts. ill be the first to admit i dont know what tire fits or doesnt fit (as i havent owned my 4runner for too long) but i honestly think it would be quite benefitial to all of us to have a simple post showing what these rigs look like ranging from stock all the way up... and the mods that need to match the tire size... shoot me if im way off here?
with all this talk of tire size...

I agree it is a good idea, I've thought about it myself.
There are a few problems:
1. Different years sit at different levels stock. Ex. '99's are a good 1" taller than '01-02 etc...
2. There are a ton of different combos as far as shocks and springs. It could vary on weight in the trunk too.
3. After market bumpers will affect a lift.
4. Some tires are taller than others even if they have the same ratings. Ex. Out of two 285/75/16 tires one could be 32.8" tall and the other could be 33.1".
265/75/16 will fit on pretty much any stock 3rd Gen. 285/75/16 (33") should clear pretty easily with 3" of lift.

I agree it could be beneficial if done properly but also could go terribly wrong if it wasn't routinely moderated.
My guess is you will get a lot people posting pictures with minimal information, or they will have aftermarket wheels but be unaware of their backspacing or something. It wouldn't hurt to give it a shot.
edit: Another idea would be if a moderator was willing, is to have people email the moderators with pictures and descriptions of their rig and then the moderator could compile a nice thread that was locked so it could be used for reference only. The username of the owners could be included so that members can still ask questions if need be.
