That's at full droop with wheels.

One thing I learned is the clearance with the 1.25" uniball on the extended travels is incredibly close. You have to have the coil in just the right position that the control arm doesn't hit it at full droop. It took a lot of measuring and adjusting to get everything just right. But it clears the coil by probably a little over an 1/8th of inch on both sides.

that sounds like a huge pain in the ass, at least you thought it through and made the changes.

You know what else you wont get out of your head. . .the bills and receipts for all the repairs on those things. . buddy in highschool had one and if it wasn't for his parents bank account that thing would have been left on the side of the road.

Yeah, that's the only thing that's keeping me from seriously considering one; other than the fact that you can't even find a junker for under 10k. They're just so damn cool. I'd love to build one as a project to tinker with and swap the motor for something I'm familiar with. A guy can dream right?

Hey man, just ordered my set of FJ coils and 5100's. After seeing yours ive decided to set the fronts at the 1.75 Just wondering what you though of that setup? Also what size tires did you have in those pics? Not the new 285's. Thanks!:jump:

He was running 265/70/17's I'm pretty sure prior to the new 285/70/17s

Ehh, to each his own. I've never had a situation where I wish I had the v8. I specifically wanted a v6 since it has the option for 2WD for highway driving. Plus the timing chain is a nice perk instead of having to replace the belt later on.

Yup. I just picked up an 08' 4x4 V6 Sport Edition. My sentiments exactly. The 2WD and available multi mode are awesome. I like the freedom of choice.

Plus, I have the 4.7 in my built Tundra. Which has one of the most glorious exhaust notes of all time. Just thought I'd share. lol

EDIT: and VERY clean Runner BTW. Great attention to detail.

how much of a drop when you put on the 285s?
