Wonky AC on an '06 LTD

Finally turned on my AC and drivers side is not cool.
LTD's have dual zone temp control but even at it's lowest setting , it's room temp.
Passenger side and rear vents are cold. I'm guessing that there's only one coil and it's some kind of damper that's not working.
Any suggestions as to where I might look?

It's more than likely you are low on freon or a blend door is not moving all the way. You should be able to see if the dampers are moving in their full range of motion by looking under the dash. If that is good take it to a shop and have the a/c recharged. If it is low the evap core will not be cold enough to cool both sides as air blows across it. This is common in a lot of vehicles.

I'm sure it doesn't need a recharge as it blows cold.
It just doesn't do so on the drivers side.
Gonna have to locate the blend door and see why it's not moving.

I've heard you're supposed to turn on your AC in the winter periodically to keep everything lubricated and working properly for when you really need it during the summer. It makes sense to me, might be something to try for anyone reading this thread. Probably the same goes for using the heater during the summer months.

Yes you should run your AC i the winter as it's a dehumidifier as well and helps clear fogged up windows. I've always done this.

First clean the ambient cabin air temperature sensor, it's located on the backside of the trim panel just below the ignition switch, look for 5 little slots in the trim panel, the sensor is on the back side at the slots, it sometimes gets enough dirt on the sensor that it can't sense the proper air temperature, if that's not the issue then the driver's side blend door solenoid needs to be replaced.

Its low on freon. I had the same issue. Added freon and now its resolved.
