Wrecked my truck!

Front passenger side lower ball joint let go on me and my daughter at about 35mph no one but truck hurt,and was hard as heck to stop! Luck no oncoming traffic it was on a 4 lane hwy bridge of all places lol. Does anyone have a front right spindle? as mine was bent in accident

How many mile you have on it? The more I see this makes me want to replace mine.

The odometer reads over 430, 000 but not sure which parts have that mileage on them but don't mess around with old ball joints if ur not sure have checked out and or replace

I should have replaced when I lifted and put the 35's on but duh! No i'm a spokesman for ball joint safety lol

Now you have me wondering how long do the lower ball joints last? And of coarse How hard is it to replace the lower ball joint? Like what cost am I looking at?

gosh thanks man. I'm even more terrified to drive my rig now. This might be me in a few days haha. I'm almost tempted to just pay a shop to do it... yeah maybe not. glad everyone is ok!

Glad that nobody was hurt! How did that brush guard do with protecting your front end? I have a bull bar on my truck and always wondered how much it would do in an accident. And did your air bags pop out?

Replacement is not that hard ill post pics when I do mine very soon, as far as cost I've got a few prices but nothing beats good ole oem Toyota parts (if u can afford them) or something with a warranty better than 1 year if u can

No airbags popped and grille guard took the bunt of the guard rail,overall not bad damage wise considering

162000 on mine , everything looked and felt tight when checked for wear when i got her. May change them anyway , the way people talk OEM seems the only way to go.

Extremely specially with my 10yr old daughter in back I was shaking for 3 hrs lol (its funny now) not wrecking just the shaking

so what's the comprehensive list of all the parts you need to fix/replace now?

Upper and lower ball joint, steel and rubber brake line from caliper, spindle, axle, outer tie rod end, bumper, and fender the rest I can fix I hope

I had the bolts shear off my passenger lower balljoint this past weekend. Fun stuff. Broke an old OEM drivers lower ball joint a few years back.

Its real nice when you turn one way and the tire goes the other.
