Looking for 3.73 gears for my 2nd gen 4R. Anyone have some or have a suggestion on where to find them? I have 3.90 now and broke the pinion gear in the rear dif. Thanks for your help.

I have a rear diff from a 1996 4Runner with 3.73 gears. 150k, $300+ship if interested.

Thanks Death Cougar, I can get some new R&P for the rear but need to find some 7.5" for the front. How are things in WA? I lived in Oly until a year ago and am missing it a little.

No 4Runner came with 3.73 front gears until 4th gens, which I believe are reverse cut gears (high pinion diff) so you'll have to get aftermarket gears....which I don't even know if that exists. Why are you doing 3.73 gearing? That's way too tall a gear ratio

WA is cold but clear, not much snow this year. Spring was way too early

I'm running a 1KZTE diesel. I was recently told that Toyota used 3.42 and 3.58 gears in the 2wd trucks. Those might be even better if they come in 8" and 7.5". Right now i'm turning about 2800 rpm at highway speeds (75mph)
 
Some trucks and prerunners came with 7.5', 3.73 gears. If anyone has one please let me know what year and model so that I can try and search wrecking yards. Thanks

PreRunners used an 8" carrier, so that won't work for you.

SOME 92-95 2WD Non-prerunner trucks came with 3.73 7.5" gears, but you're going to be hard pressed to find them on this website.

Check on car-part.com, I just did a search and came up with several locally.
