Hello T4R community, I've got quite a story that i'm sure all of you either will laugh and point or have been in the same exact situation as me.
My 1997 4Runner 4x4 SR5 has been through a lot with me over the past year and a half. From bone stock to where it is now, with 238,xxx miles, its been about 1 year and 4 months. Now, when I bought this truck it needed a new clutch and steering rack right out of the box. That's why I got it so cheap was because the high dollar Mofo didnt want to spend the time or money to deal with the truck, so I took it off his hands. 20,000 miles of wheeling and beating up the yota has taken its toll on the suspension and steering therefor putting tons of play into the steering. My broke ass college self would only go out and buy parts that I needed to keep the truck driving so last night when the ball joints snapped on the driver side it really was no surprise. Pulling out of a parking spot in Whataburger the truck violently bounced up then slammed down on its frame, missing a wheel. Upper and Lower ball joint popped out, tore the CV in half, Twisted the tie rods till they snapped, and im pretty sure the knuckle assembly is now trash. If anyone has some extra front end parts lying around, I NEED THEM. This is my only mode of transportaion and the rebuild has to be quick.
