XenonDepot HID vs LED, initial photo. (Pics reposted)

I also have the XD Phillips 4300k kit and love it, but I've been getting flashed like a cheap strip show. I've tried ad nauseam to search for ways to adjust them down, and I've not had much luck. Can either of you share how you adjusted the light pattern? Most of the threads I found were for 2010-2013 and didn't apply to the 2014+.

on the black cover at the front of the engine bay that covers the radiator there are small holes over the headlights. underneath the hole is a plastic wheel. stick a large-ish phillips head into the hole and turn the wheel. have your headlights on so you can check to make sure you are turning the correct direction. adjust them down a few degrees and then check by having someone sit in their car facing you or by pulling up behind another car and checking to see if the light cutoff is in their eyes or cuts off about trunk height.

Philips does not make HID bulbs with H11 bases - they only make HID bulbs with OEM HID bases (such as D1, D2, D3, D4,D5, etc). We purchase Philips D2S capsules and rebase them into custom moulded H11 bases so that you can install them into an H11 application. It would be illegal for us to print "Philips" on the H11 base, as this would be trademark infringement because the BASES themselves are not Philips.

I got my new XD Extreme HID Lows, and Fogs (Philips 2700K) installed this past weekend, and they make a huge difference. I was getting "flashed" frequently with the original OEM low beam set up so lowered the horizon by about 4 inches. The HID's shine bright and make night driving pleasurable, and I have not been flashed once since the adjustments. As for the Fogs, they have great color and light up both the front and the sides of the road much better than the OEM. Thanks XD for the great set up and the confidence I now have in driving the back roads of Colorado after the sun goes down knowing deer and other critters are safe from my front bumper.

Ordered my H11 HID kit with 4300K Philips bulbs along with some LED lighting for the interior. Excited to upgrade these not-so-great stock lamps.

I made one 45 min minute drive with the new HID's.....the output is fantastic....I did get flashed three times by on coming cars.....I think that the light gets into cars because they are sitting at the 4runner headlight level....
...I did see more moisture in both lights....I was pretty disappointed....there was lots of it.
The rubber grommet for the Philips HID's fit the hole in the dust cover perfectly....a little tight to get in but I would say that it was a perfect fit.....I'm willing to bet the farm on a tight seal on both covers.
so I ordered two new dust covers...I'm going to install the original halogens and the new dust covers and see if the moisture goes away.
I upgraded almost immediately to LED lights so I don't know if the moisture would have been there initially....
I put up a photo of the seal on the headlights and it looks like maybe some gasket adhesive is missing...

Did your housing ever clear up? The same thing happened to my driver side headlight, major condensation. took the back off the get fresh air in it while driving to hopefully air it out and dry it out, it went away, but came right back once the car sat... any ideas for a permanent fix?

These bulbs are excellent. The color of the Philips 4300K bulb is bright and matches the typical OEM color except now I can see everything in front of my 4 Runner. They also light the passenger side of the road further on the sides so I can better navigate mountain roads at night. I also purchased the 2700K Philips LED's to upgrade the fog lights. They also seem much brighter and give off a nice amber glow in front and better side coverage as well. Both are about a 10-15 minute installation.

the 4300k bulbs are backordered currently. Estimated date is APR3

Spent a little extra time on wire/part management. I tucked the ballast and connectors underneath the black skirt as XD recommends and zip-tied the wires to keep them close to the inside. It did require pulling excess wire slack out of the headlight housing until I couldn't pull any more out.

Zoomed in with plastic trim piece lifted to show where the wires are zip-tied. It was a little tricky to feed it through there, but it's possible.

Sometimes one of my lights don't turn on. Seems like something is loose with the connector, but am not sure how I am supposed to tighten it given the clips.
