You know you love your 5th Gen when.

ALL four of your neighbors with Jeep Grand Cherokee's slow down when they pass your TE in your drive way...:trophy:
 
1. You come after work, get out of your comfortable daily driver (08 Audi A6), and you find an excuse to go drive the 4runner, even though climbing up in the 4runner in a leg cast is incredibly painful.... damn you leg cast!!! (sorry, venting is the story of my life right now, instead of thoughts of sugarplums in my head at night, thoughts of sawzall to my cast haunt my dreams...)


2. (while I am on the subject)-- You are super pumped to have a handicap tag for the next 6 months so you can park your 4runner right in the front of every store so everyone can see it right in front when they walk out.

3. You find excuses to go to the toyota dealership so you can show it off to all the stupid salesmen, and hope to find a stock TE to park right next to

yeah, progress4m clearly doesn't understand the spirit of this thread... or he does but his fragile ego still can't resist barging in with another V8 "neener, neener".

in response, you know you love your 5th Gen when... your niece—who bought your previous '06 V8 SE—comes over and parks it in your driveway and it only confirms that you don't have a single, even the slightest twinge of, regret for upgrading to a 5G Trail Edition. :D

and echoing an earlier post in this thread, on the day you did the papers, when she saw the new Trail parked beside her "new" '06, she asked "did you already lift it?"

whoa, is that a frozen lake???? If so, I assume its in a shallow area?! I am a big noob when it comes to this, North Carolina doesn't exactly have many frozen lakes, and I grew up in atlanta were ice cubes in your freezer were the only thing that froze.

Great pic though regardless
 
..you realize your like George Jetson in your 4runner, touch the handle to unlock, push the button to start, "talk to the car" to find a place to eat, and can't even be bothered to look behind you when backing up... (Although I don't recommend that ha!)

.. you are constantly asked "Wow, is that the new Sequoia? Sometimes while standing at the back where it CLEARLY says 4 Runner"

.. you are talking to a guy who says "oh, is that a new 4door FJ?"

What kind of people do you hang out with??? A Sequoia? An FJ? Sure, and I got a Prius stuck in my wheel the other day.
 
you know you love your 5th gen 4Runner when you are explaining that you just bought a new set of rims and tires because the 4Runner needed "winter tires" ....... and a few months ago you just bought new rims and tires for the summer....

...you drive through snow/ice like it isn't there, pull into your garage, turn the truck off, and yell "I AM MAN!", give knuckles to the headlight, head into the house and say "...just another great day!" when your wife asks about your day.
