when you do your seals this time, take the spring from the seal, pop it out. and unthread it. then cut about 3-5mm off the spring, and thread it back it. that way the springs are a lot tighter. i had mine leak after i did the the first time, after i did the springs it never leaked again. also make sure you axle shaft is really clean when you put it in. hope you get it fixed muh friend.

Starting to think I might just live with this..... I've done seals on this truck way too many times! Last time, I went all the way, bought the bearings, ABS Rotor, all of the parts listed on Bigfish's write-up.... even brought it to a machine shop, and let them do it... because it was cheaper to do so.... and boom... a couple of months later... it's leaking... AGAIN!

It's been to the dealer once, 2 second rate mechanics, my buddy Lee did it, and that machine shop.... starting to think it's a lost cause!

Aside from that.... I love my 4Runner.... wouldn't trade it for any other vehicle! Even my 2nd Gen Tacoma! :D

I took mine to the dealer to do a complete rear axle job because of leaking on both sides of axle. I am sooo glad I did now. At first, I was hesitant to spend the extra money but I was way too busy and had no choice at the time. Well, ToYo service has 12 month warranty on all work and mine had to go back to dealer 2 months after service because of re-leaking. They completely redid the job and gave me a loaner for the day.
 
When you could role up to a high school party and winch down your stock tire carrier to reveal a spare wheel full of cold beers.
