You know you're a Third Generation 4Runner owner when...

When your neighbor, who drives a mint first gen asks if he could trade you for yours.

And when you chit chat with the same neighbor in heavy snow, just to talk 4Runners. Even though he is from across the pond, calls it a Hilux, and mentions many times how he wishes it were a diesel and it wasn't snowing outside.

When you laugh at the 4 door jeep with a soft top on the interstate. I never pity those poor suckers. Shoulda bought a 3rd gen

When you talk your husband into getting a 3rd gen for his daily driver so you can swap the axles complete with e-locker and other prime bits over to your truck and he agrees-

but then finds a highlander, says it's "too pretty" and hogs his truck's goodies to play with himself! :rockthrow:

( :D )

When there is three feet of snow in your driveway so you put it in 4wd and give it a full dose of the boot to get out and then pull out the snowblower simply because you didn't want to waste the opportunity to wheel in your driveway! :driving:

When you think the weirdest part about moving 1000 miles away for college is that your 4runner will be sitting alone for over a month when you fly home for Christmas.

Ha, I commuted all through college because in my freshman year, they told me I wasn't allowed to have my vehicle on campus. True story.

you know you're a Third Generation 4Runner owner when you slow down in traffic to let that 3rd Gen 4Runner you spot in your rearview mirror behind you catch up (and even pass you) so you can get a better look and check it out for any modifications...

I almost got to crash test the 96 a little bit ago. Person in a maroon GM car ran a red on a 45mph road. Caught the movement to my right just in time to slam to a halt and crank the wheel over to avoid them- they didn't appear to brake or even flinch.

Which reminds me. You know you're a 3rd gen owner when you've got Tundra brakes and 4 GM horns plus 1 yota horn because wimpy stops and 'meep meep' just doesn't cut it.

Please let the world be just in that the idiot soiled himself!

when you are iffy to park next to a new Jag because he is close to the line and you don't want your baby to get doored. The only dings that don't bother me are the ones that come from the trail.
