The way I see it, I can go 400 miles on one tank of fuel. Close to 600 miles of combination pedal/engine. I cann't eat my ride like [MENTION=49649]KidVermicious[/MENTION] can but I bet I can go a lot further and faster than he can too. If you draw a 600 mile radius circle around your location you will see it can take you a LONG way away from trouble.
Edit: 600 miles from my location would allow me to go to:
New Hampshire North
Florida South
Most of the East Coast
Mississippi
Missouri West
Illinois
Wisconsin
and all places in between. Not bad for a mountain bike with a 49 cc engine.

Where are you getting 600 miles from? They say 400-500 miles between the tank and the 2- 1gallon fuel cans included. I'm willing to bet that pedaling 100-200 miles on a bike/moped that weighs 130 pounds (without rider or gear) on 24" wheels would be a challenge worthy of the greatest ironman athlete competitors. Of course given enough time, almost anything is attainable. It'd take approximately 21 hours to travel their maximum advertised range of 500 miles going at their advertised maximum speed of 24mph. They do not specify the most efficient speed for the moped, so we can only assume...
It's unfortunate that they give no weight limit for this thing. They say you can get pegs for it, I wonder if the optional pegs can be run on the rear to support another rider. Cool concept indeed.

But I'd go for one of these myself:
We're talking Cargo Capacity, Multi-Fuel Capability (if you get the right engine, though gas mileage sucks), Mass (Attach a wedge on that and most baricades/obstacles will not matter), ect.
Also check out that flex!

Would have to agree with this one, except I would get the new version. Those old one are pieces of junk and are a pain to drive haha

Not gonna lie man I am jelly of the 997 can. I would love to get my hands on one. Granted it has the aerodynamics of a brick wall....but the space!! You could house a family of 6 in that thing and still retain some sort of other functions.

It's a ***** to pedal anything that heavy on anything but flat pavement.
A lightweight 49cc motorbike without the added weight and complexity of the bicycle crankset would probably be better.

The biggest problem you would face is clogged bridges. Of course you can't pedal that bike up a hill zfor very far but the range and the ABILITY to pedal on level ground is what makes it the best IMO. All you guys who pick a big vehicle will only get as far a bridge that has become a parking lot. Desert is one thing but on the east coast bridges or boats are about the only way across.
