If the airbags don't knock you out, you'll be stranded anyway after one of several plastic oil/trans cooler fittings break on you.
On a side note, years ago I had a neighbor that purchased a brand new Pro4x Titan and took it on some dirt roads by our houses. The result was the airbags going off for no reason as well.

So, other than my 2018 TRD ORP, my wife and I own a 2018 ZR2 with the gasoline engine. It's a good truck and frankly, with us, won the bid over a Tacoma TRD Pro. More room inside, a better ride, more power on tap, etc.
Am I a little leery of the airbag issue? You bet. But I'm fine pulling the airbag fuse on the truck if we decide to take it off road.
Toyota wasn't doing so hot with airbag deployments not too long ago, remember.

What part of what where I said I own both didn't you understand? I have no reason to be defensive about any of it. If I want to take the ZR2 offroad, I'll pull the fuse.
Chances are that will never happen. With the airbag bullshit going on, we're just keeping the ZR2 around as my wife's daily driver for another year and will trade it off on something else. It won't see any off-roading if I were to guess.

While there have been issues with Tacoma, but how do you explain the insane resale value of Tacomas on the USED market side??

That’s too bad that you are not taking advantage of the ZR2’s off-road capability because of bone-head decision (or lack of) by the GM engineers! ZR2 looks great on paper. That’s an expensive mall crawler!
It is interesting in the thread that you sent that Toyota deleted RSCA button on the newest Tacoma because: “Hey guys, I work with Toyota. The reason that the 3rd gen does not have the RSCA off button is due to the fact that it now has an Accelerometer built into the truck that not only looks for the angle of the pitch like the Colorado but it also looks for how fast it is rolling or tilted to one side or another. Meaning if you are moving slow and the truck is at a crazy angle they won't deploy but if it is rolling at a higher speed then it will deploy.”
Frankly i would have prefer RSCA button. Oh well.
