Welp.. traded my big beautiful Ram in for what I'm calling my "daddy wagon".. always wanted a 4runner so it wasn't TOO painful I guess.. Picked up a 15 SR5
Barcelona and love it but it's needs a few mods..

Im thinkin 2" spacer up front and 275/70 BFGs with a 1/4" Bora spacer behind the stockers wheel..

Does anybody have a similar setup?

I'm curious to see how the wheels sit flush wise with the stock flare/quarter panels

Jesse1983 there is a tire fitment guide. Also, there are numerous threads on lifts, spacers, etc. that you can search on. Depending on what you plan to do with your new truck you can decide what's the best fit. Good luck and welcome.

Welcome. You may want to take some time with it to determine what you really want or need. I know though; we're all big kids and Santa just left something under the tree for you. Sometimes it's difficult to remain rational with all things 4Runner.

No BORA spacers (just my opinion).... Toyota is hubcentric... go with SpiderTrax if you are going to do it. Again, lots of threads on this, just google "5th gen 4runner wheel spacers" and you should be able to find plenty of good info. Welcome to the forum.

(Edit: I've run SpiderTrax twice now and haven't ran into any issues, tho currently am not/just using new wheels with diff back spacing). Also - yes, maybe look into just swapping your shocks for 5100s and setting the front at .85 or 1.75... may accomplish what you are wanting to do, but will stiffen up the ride quite a bit IMO.

I used a 1/4" spacer plate with my aftermarket wheels because I was worried about clearance from the brake calipers. I drove it that way for probably a year and did a few off road trips, but I could never get comfortable with the fact that I was giving up 1/4" of the threads on the lug studs. I probably only had 1/2" of threaded stud in the lug nuts. I really don't recommend using a spacer plate unless you can add longer studs. Or if you want the wheels and tires to sit flush get 9" wide wheels.

Welcome, as a word of warning: Leave now. I apologize that came off harsh, this forum will lure you to spend a lot $cash building a awesome rig. Next thing you know you will be planning trips to all corners of the continent chasing adventure.

It is what you make it. If you wish to believe that the 4Runner isn't as capable or as handy as that Ram, that's on you. If you set out to see what you can make it, what it can do, and challenge yourself to start with something that occasionally draws the soccer mom crowd, that sounds like a better idea to me. I bought my 4Runner and caught flak about my soccer mom SUV over the full size Bronco it replaced. 3 years, some money, and elbow grease later, and those same people have a hard time believing that it's the same truck. I use truck intentionally because it's still a body on frame design over one of those engineered unibody crossover wannabe's. It may lack the bed of your Ram, or removable cap of my Bronco, but it's more than capable for most even in it's stock form. Lament the loss of your Ram, but revel in the challenge of something new. This forum is as motivating as you want it to be, if you want to see cell phone holders, and ground effect lighting it's here. But DIY work on just about any component and many build your own overland adventures are here too and more numerous. Welcome to the forum!

my last 3 have had lifts.. Wrangler, Titan and Ram.. the only reason I say daddy wagon is because I'm not gunna monster truck this one out.
