Zerks location 4th Generation pic request

Subject says it all. I did some research and found a few pics related to the 3gen 4runner....not sure if the pics are entirely accurate for the 4th generation runners.

Also I remember reading somewhere that if you put too much lube, the transfer case might get messed up.

If someone could link pics of the zerks to lube it would be greatly appreciated. This way my stealership will have no excuse!

There are three on each drive shaft... one at each end in the U-joint and one for the slip yoke on the outside of the "collar". The slip yoke ones are very easy to spot, but the ones in the U-joints are tricky to find the first time. You have to get under there and rotate the shafts to get to them all. I, unfortunately, don't have any pictures, but if you search for something like "drive line clunk" there are a couple of threads with pics.

EDIT: sonerick nailed it! That's the thread I was trying to find!

Any NGLI #2 would be fine.
I use amsoil synthetic NGLI #2 , I have a dealer account thorugh my business so I get a good price on it.

Too much may make a mess, but consider lack of grease is what causes thump issues I would much rather over grease than under grease.

I use mobil 1 synthetic for the u joints and valvoline moly fortified NGLI#2 grease for the slip yolks.

For the u joints, pump until you see some old black grease squeezing out from the seals. For the slip yolk, I have started pumping till it expands ( a lot) and then I remove the zerk, jump up and down on the rear bumper a few times, clean up the mess, then screw the zerk back on. Alternatively, you could unbolt and remove the drive shaft, take it apart, re grease, then reassemble. Shouldn't take much to do that either just a few bolts.
