That sounds pretty epic, and totally understandable with your 5 spd as compared to the other STi's. We actually have a local speciality shop that builds the high end motors that you see in a lot of vehicles pushing over 700+. Take a look at Off The Line Performance - Parts Store as well as boosted-performance . These guys are crazy and the owners both have some amazing vehicles. Case in point this is Justins personal car and owner of Off the line

How much have you used your RTT? We used it on our trip last year and haven't had time to mount it back up and do some more camping.

Nice, I'll check them out when I get a chance. We used it on our 5 day trip to Yellowstone and it was amazing. We'll be using it again this weekend at the rallycross. Looking forward to a warm comfy and flat place to sleep! Just wish it wasn't so heavy so it's easier to remove from the truck

So it's been 2 years since I've updated my build thread, yikes!

I honestly haven't changed much since the last update besides regular maintenance, miles, and fun trips!

I did however finally get around to building myself a set of storage drawers, long overdue!

Big thanks to [MENTION=96727]bagelsjustbagels[/MENTION] Addam for providing the amazing plans! They're not quite finished yet, still need to do front & back panels, and sidewings. But they'll be functional for this weekends trip!

Will be putting aluminum angle on the top edge tonight, then will finish off with some paracord grab handles.

Are those drawers from The Adventure Index? They look awesome. I'm thinking about building something like that, but I wanted to build a whole sleeping platform, not just something for the trunk area.

Yes they are! I made dual large drawers vs. the slide out stove/accessories.

The plans are awesome and really helpful. I believe another member built them with a sleeping platform, check their Instagram for pictures of that build.

Awesome! I can't wait to work on that. If you come across the user who built the sleeping platform let me know. It doesn't seem to be too hard to add that on. Great job on your build btw. Both the runner and the drawers haha. What was the approximate cost for the drawers?

Bolts, screws, threaded inserts, pronged T nuts, wood glue: $80.61
Wood: $175
Hinges: $25
Slides: $284

Optional:
Black carpet:$25.75
Tie downs: $10.97
Bolts for tie downs: $11.34
Aluminum angle: $12

Total:
$564.61

Total with options:
$624.67

I did however spend more money on tools, sawhorses, clamps etc so my actual costs were a bit higher.

Things I did not use from the original parts list:
- Washers
- Aluminum angle

I made a simple 3 legged support for the front edge, and attached the back edge to the drawers by making little ledges from scraps and a couple of L brackets to keep it from sliding off the ledges. I haven't slept on it yet (just finished the mattress last night) but it holds up the gf and I just fine so far.

Badass build man, i love it! We have very similar setups lol.

Have you used your Fridge yet? I'm really tempted to buy a setup with tilting slide, but hesitant to drop almost $1k. I also am kinda bummed it reduces the rear cargo space by so much, and if I needed to carry anything 4ft wide, that is now im possible.

Yeah buddy, V8 limiteds with Fox suspensions and adventureindex drawers unite!

I've used the fridge as a shop beer fridge for the last week just to test the dual battery setup. Works great! The tilt slide from DFG is really slick with adding a couple of sticky back velcro dots as pads to keep it rattle free. Loaded all the way up the slide still works great and is solid (bolted in 7 places to the drawer). It does suck to lose the space but it's easy enough to undo the tie downs and pull the fridge out if needed. We had sacrificed head space for so long on our old less functional sleeping platform that was built ON TOP of a huge cooler that losing some foot space seems okay now. The price of fridge upgrade sucked too (plus dual battery setup) but everyone insists that it's the best thing they've ever done for camping. I'm hoping this new kitchen, sleeping, storage, and power setup really simplifies our camping over the old thrown together one that lasted us 2 years.

Well that's certainly some reassuring news. My fave upgrade so far has been the RTT, so that's going to be hard to top. I always hate wasting ice, soggy food, useless space in the cooler. I usually pack the cooler/kitchen box in the back seat and put everything else in the trunk. I'm all about simplification....so you may have just convinced me. :nerd:

How did you route the coax for your antennas?

Through the stock grommet in the hatch, then along the inner paneling on the left side, under the drivers seat to their locations.

Went to Alabama Hills this past weekend and had a great time, what an amazing place!

Got some new goodies installed too, Dometic CFX-40, DFG Off-road Tilt slide, RCI Sliders, puddle lights, and CBI Rear Bumper, swingout coming.

Thanks! So far it's been good, but has a couple small issues. I'll actually be doing a full write up on it soon, will post up on my blog, Home - Enter The Adventure

After about 3 full months, my rear bumper swingout is finally completed.

There were some hiccups as the bumper was built last year, and did not have a swingout built with it together.
