I understand why it's in place, but it's hard on people who come for specific questions but who don't have time to spend perusing forums. I'd like to leverage the community, but didn't realize I needed to invest time on random posts to get to the point that I could do that.

So you come here because there is a wealth of knowledge and information, then complain that we safeguard the place by putting up rules to keep out the BS and spam to protect the information.

I agree with you, I get that we live in a fast paced society that we want everything now! but ehh if you want everything now do it yourself lol 15 post wont kill you. except if there is a group buy ending today.... then im hunting heads

What I am saying is that 15 is too many...
I can fool around on this thread and the other intro thread but I don't want to hit proper threads with my 2 cents. (worth less than that because it's CAD...but without pennies we round up or down....so my 2 cents is worth 0 cents...)

I can certainly see both sides of the issue. It definitely a good thing to keep the spammers out. On the other hand, it seems like other type sites (not necessarily car stuff) consider loading up on low value posts to be less than desirable.

I am not complaining either way.

I previously had a 2007 4Runner Sport for a little over 12 years. Loved it, but it was time to get a newer one. Plus the wife finally gave me authorization (LOL).

I just got a 2018 Limited last week and wanted to join here for info and to post pics of the new one. :biggrin1:

It is the Arctic Blue with tan leather, JBL stereo... a bunch of other cool stuff that my 2007 Sport did not have. I consider it to be a very nice looking color combination.

So onward towards getting my post count up.

Im here ... spamming posts so I can make a thread to ask for help wiring in an airhorn for a family members ride. I hate to say it but requiring a post count to do basic functions on a forum honestly does one thing very well. It makes sure there are lots of new members posting basically nothing to try and get to a point where they can actually use the forum for its intended purpose........
