I am showing auction prices as:

9000 to 10.4.

So, that is probably a fair shake. By far the biggest hit was the mileage. The other stuff isn't taken into consideration as to most customers they could car less. Your trail gear, by the by, would only increase sell price in a private party situation with another off road enthusiast. A dealer is as likely to sell it to a family as an offroader.

I saw try for 10k on trade in, but I say their offer is fair.

Edit: NOW we have to see photos of the underbody. Where you exaggerating on the level of rust???? I was sitting here thinking it was your typical NE rust bucket... but if they couldn't find any?

The level of rust is as bad as stated here.

Honestly when the Carma guy came back saying it was perfect I almost chocked up laughing but held it together. I was think toit myself its ether one of two things. 1) They did not look that well or 2) They take anything because they are selling a car back.

But trust me the rust is there, trust me I was shocked with their decision.

Then.. you know what. Take it. 9.6k for a rust bucket is more than fair. My auction price I quoted was for a vehicle in good condition.

This was one of my earlier points. The Carmax guys buying cars at the auctions don't look at them any better. Most don't know that much about cars, in my opinion. Due to this many of the cars they have are not in good shape. I have a friend who goes to the auctions and watches these guys and just laughs.

So whats a good list or suvs/trucks if you wanna do light off road? Give me your thoughts.

I like the Mits- Montero around the 2005 to 2007 models.
