2004 Runner Arm Rest Lock.

Any idea where to get the plastic lock for 2004 Runner arm rest?

It somehow broke and because of the metal spring inside of it no super glue can attach the plastic lock to its axis.

Here is a tip on buying parts on line. Be sure to check the shipping charges,
on small parts it can be more than the cost of the part.

My suggestion, if the part is fairly expensive buying on line will save money,
but if it is a small part you will probably be better off at the dealer.

partznet doesn't calculate the shipping until they actually ship it, which is kinda sketchy sometimes! for comparison, i paid $6 shipping recently for a V8 emblem from them.

Yea, I kind of expect the same amount for shipping the lock too.

I think its still better than going to dealership, at least for me.

Performance Parts charged me $9.95 for shipping & handling.

The box from the Post office had a canceled postage of $3.85.

Maybe I am wrong, but doesn't the price of a product usually reflect the true price of a product? I mean, the part was $37.00, for Bob to pick it cost you an additional $3.00, Jimmy Sue then charges you $5.00 to tape up the box. Toss another $1.25 for Pedro to stick a postage stamp on it. etc. etc.

I am pleased with the quality of the product, but I find their business practices suspect. The product wasn' t even shipped from their warehouse. It was sent directly from the vendor. Next time I will buy directly from the vendor and save myself the frustration of being nickel and dimed to death.

I did just get a free oil change from my dealer. So all is not lost.

Any online store should have shipping charge to show up during checkout or at least give extimated amount.

The bottom line is the price during checkout is what should be charge to my credit card, thats what I call good online service.
